A copy of III by Crystal Castles

Note: Change the image as soon as possible

Item #: SCP-5375

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5375 requires no special containment, although it is recommended that SCP-5375 not be used for purposes other than testing.

Description: SCP-5375 appears to be a vinyl copy of "III" by electronic music group Crystal Castles. However, when played, the record will play from start to finish regardless of the starting position of the needle, or the side it is being played on.

When reaching the ninth track, "Violent Youth", a faceless, nude, humanoid figure, known as SCP-5375-1, will materialize within the room the record is being played in. 5375-1 will proceed to stare at the closest individual in the room, occasionally breathing, and rarely speaking, until the track stops playing, after which a woman similar to the individual portrayed on the album cover, known as SCP-5375-2, will materialize within the room, and interact with SCP-5375-1, after which they embrace in a hug and both disappear.

Attempts to interact with SCP-5375-1 and SCP-5375-2 have so far had almost no results (See Addendum 5375.1)

Addendum 5375.1: 04/03/2019 test

D-2057 enters SCP-5375's containment chamber, and is assigned to listen to the record. Upon playing the ninth track, SCP 5375-1 materializes into the room. D-2057 is instructed to interact with SCP-5375-1

D-2057: What do you want me to do?

Dr. ██████: Just ask it a basic question

D-2057: Okay, okay uhh, hello? What's up?

SCP-5375-1: (No verbal communication)

D-2057: What am I supposed to do now?

Dr. ██████: Ask another question

D-2057: Do you have a name? Family?

5375-1 tilts it's head, before speaking

SCP-5375-1: (Incomprehensible)

Dr. ██████: Repeat the question (Aside) turn up the gain on the microphone

D-2057: Do you have a name or family?

5375-1 does not respond time

D-2057 continues to repeat the question several times before asking other questions, to which 5375-1 does not respond. After the track finishes playing, 5375-2 materializes into the room, and starts speaking towards 5375-1, after which they embrace and disappear

<End Log>

Attempts to slow down the record for more time has not helped, as SCP-5375-1 will simply disappear if the speed of the record is being changed. Attempts to place tracking devices onto either SCP-5375-1 or SCP-5375-2 have also failed, as they simply fall to the ground after the two have disappeared

Another test was conducted (See Addendum 5375.2)

Addendum 5375.2: 04/19/2019 test

D-7211 enters SCP-5375's containment chamber, and is assigned to listen to the record. Upon playing the ninth track, SCP 5375-1 materializes into the room.

Dr. ██████: D-7211, approach SCP-5375-1

D-7211 reluctantly approaches SCP-5375-1. SCP-5375-1 proceeds to stare at D-7211, making no movement

Dr. ██████: Embrace SCP-5375-1

D-7211: What? Aren't we supposed to keep it professional?

Dr. ██████: You heard me

D-7211 proceeds to embrace SCP-5375-1. After about 30 seconds, SCP-5375-1 embraces D-7211 back. SCP-5375-1 can be heard emitting sniffling sounds. After the track stops playing, SCP-5375-2 materializes into the room. 5375-1 can be heard speaking for the first time

SCP-5375-1: (Incomprehensible) thank you

D-7211 lets go of SCP-5375-1, after which SCP-5375-1 and SCP-5375-2 embrace each other and disappear

<End Log>

[AFTERWORD: D-7211 has been displaying weird behaviour after this test, constantly smiling and muttering to himself. Make sure to keep an eye on him]

Note: This was the last sighting of SCP-5375-1. It has been absent from any other replay. If SCP-5375-1 reappears, do not interact and alert any Level 4 Supervisors on duty.

Note: I recently checked up on SCP-5375 and it looks like the woman on the album cover disappeared. Should we look into this? - Dr. North

On 11/10/2019, SCP-5375-2 seemed to have disappeared from the album cover. Supervisors were alerted and another test was conducted, again with D-7211 (See Addendum 5375.3)
