Description: SCP-XXXX is an anomalous entity that has two forms corresponding to an active and a dormant state. In its dormant state, SCP-XXXX resembles a large designer briefcase. This briefcase cannot be opened and is anomalously durable. The period SCP-XXXX spends in dormant form is irregular, and can last anywhere from five days to three weeks. Once the period ends, SCP-XXXX's active form will manifest within two kilometers from its dormant location. Normally, SCP-XXXX manifests inside sheltered, vacant locations. However, it often appears within vacant rooms of luxury hotels. The nature of this pattern is currently unknown.

When active, SCP-XXXX is a 177.8 cm tall humanoid figure with grey skin and a bandaged face. Scars of various types can be seen near the mouth, ears, and right eye. In this form, SCP-XXXX will wear formal clothing that matches the local culture. Normally, the entity is seen wearing a black three-piece suit and appropriate accessories. However, this is only SCP-XXXX's initial form.

SCP-XXXX has the ability to shapeshift. It normally will change its appearance to ease any suspicions or assimilate itself into an organization. Based on records, SCP-XXXX can maintain its form indefinitely. It has been observed that SCP-XXXX does not require focus to remain transformed, and will not return to its default appearance when unconscious or resting.

Despite its anomalous properties, SCP-XXXX's active form has needs similar to that of a physically fit human in their early 30s. The entity requires a similar amount of food, water, rest, and nutrients in order to maintain its humanoid form. If SCP-XXXX expires in its active form or enters a state of shock, it will demanifest and return to a dormant form elsewhere.

In its active form, SCP-XXXX displays considerable combat skills with numerous conventional and anomalous weapons. When required, it will primarily use these weapons:

  • A silenced .22 caliber HDM pistol that is completely silent and does not leave gunshot residue when fired.
  • An ornate pocket knife that can be transformed into two daggers.

In addition to weapons, SCP-XXXX has used various items with anomalous effects to adapt to various situations. Most items appear to be single-use and often manifest spontaneously to SCP-XXXX's needs. Reported examples of recurring items include:

  • A playing card resembling the ace of spades, except its active form is depicted in place of the spade symbol. The card has mild hypnotic abilities, and those exposed are briefly more vulnerable to suggestions in the presence of SCP-XXXX.
  • A set of adhesive office notes that SCP-XXXX can hear through, despite containing no components of bugs or similar devices.
  • A contact lens that allows SCP-XXXX to gain the perspective of video cameras near it.

Outside of combat, SCP-XXXX has proven to be an intelligent, amiable entity. Although it is fluent in most commonly spoken languages, SCP-XXXX defaults to American English with a slight British accent. Furthermore, SCP-XXXX has shown evidence of having a photographic memory as well as some form of lifespan extension. It has provided extremely detailed accounts of several diplomatic events from the last two centuries. See Addenda for further information.

Regardless of form, SCP-XXXX appears to have anti-memetic properties of an unknown level. When its dormant form manifests inside an occupied building (such as a hotel), staff and guests have a subconscious urge to ignore or avoid the site of manifestation. In its active state, people who observe the entity feel a sense of familiarity and ease. SCP-XXXX also appears to be able to distort records related to itself and its current alias. Video footage showing the entity's true form is often distorted. Moreover, printed records of the entity's current alias show defects or heavy redactions after SCP-XXXX demanifests or leaves the area. Those who question the entity will show signs of short-term memory loss.

Addendum-01: Interview between SCP-XXXX and Dr. Amanda Irons. At the time, SCP-XXXX has been posing as Dr. Arthur Brand, a researcher. "Arthur" was taken into questioning after he was reported for accessing classified data.
