Description: The artifact is an untitled untitled painting by painter Max Bordenghast, originally depicting fictional “consulting detective” Sherlock Holmes (SCP-XXXX-01) staring into a mirror at a far older version of himself. The painting’s primary feature is that the painting depicts this scene only once per week. The picture in the painting routinely moves around, with the frame acting as a window into the multiverse occupied by SPC-XXXX-01. SCP-XXXX moves is image around its reality as if it were a camera feed. The reality appears to be composed entirely of fictional locations and beings. Places, objects and creatures from over 10 million works of literature have been identified, as of [DATA EXPUNGED]. These locations, objects, and people have all been subjected to an XK-Class event. The skies above these locations is always red, and no sun has been observed. Any animals or humans observed, aside from SCP-XXXX-01, are deceased, typically via some form of ritualized disembowling. No living plants have been observed either, the majority displaying signs of an extremely prolific form of mold. All structures appear to have been severely and intentionally damaged, with only major structures still standing. Numerous locales have been observed that indicate the reality within the object is a multiverse, as by their very nature they cannot have existed in the same reality as SCP-XXXX-01. As of 4/18/19, it is unclear what relation SCP-XXXX-01’s reality has to our own, due to the difficulty of any measurement of said reality, or if it is a separate reality at all. There is no known way of performing measurements on the reality, and due to Bordenghast’s non-realist style, no “stitch count” similar to a pixel measurement can take place.
