Special Containment Procedures: The building that the hole was found in is to be monitored by a 24 hour operational surveillance camera, and is to be looked after at all times. Personnel are to be shifted out every 4 hours, to avoid fatigue. By no means is anyone allowed in unless they are a level two researcher, or any accompanying staff. The building where SCP - XXXX is located is to be guarded by 2 MTF from MTF division π - 12 (“Gateway”). The entrance is to be vacuum-sealed, and covered in concrete. The upkeep of the vacuum-seal and concrete is paramount. If any leakage occurs, it is to be instantly destroyed with Class-█ flamethrowers.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a hole located in Moscow, Russia. It is located on █████████████, ███ (now Site - XXXX/199). Its depth far exceeds the diameter of earth (7,917.5 mi/ 12,742km) at nearly twice the diameter (15,835 mi/25,484 km). Descending into the hole is made possible by a ladder that descends the entire length of this hole. The ladder appears to be covered in rust, but this is merely cosmetic, as the metal the ladder is found to be painted in that way. The sides of the hole are made of stone, however, if the stone is removed, it reveals a metal of the same composition as the ladder. This metal is an unknown element, or compound, and thus far has shown to be incapable to wear out, rust, melt, or even be removed for testing (Designated SCP-XXXX-2). The cover, and the handles attached, are iron and rust at a normal rate. It seams, on the other hand, that the bottom of the cover is coated in this metal as well.
SCP - XXXX is an access point to Universe █████-13, hear forth in this document referred to as Beta (β)1. Descent into is possible by the ladder. At around 12,700 km (around 7,900 mi), any subjects descending will suddenly find themselves ascending toward the β exit point, usually causing unease and dizziness, though this has been determined to be a natural response to the sudden change in orientation. It is recommended that the personnel descending into SCP - XXXX should not have Acrophobia due to the depth of the hole.
