Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX Is to be contained at Site-81 within a standard anomalous object containment chamber. Tests involving class D personnel must be performed within a secure test chamber garrisoned by at least two armed foundation personnel in order to terminate the subject in the event of SCP-XXXX posing a threat of containment breach.

Addendum Following Containment Breach of SCP-XXXX-2

SCP-XXXX Is to be contained off site within a standard anomalous object containment chamber within a 15 x 15 x 15 centimeter glass case. The case is to be surrounded by a ring of salt with no breaks. Salt must be exposed to sunlight for no less than 6 hours before being used for containment. Salt must be replaced daily but can be reused following further exposure to sunlight. SCP-XXXX is to be contained at a minimum of 1000 meters from all active experiments as well as all infirmaries and morgues. All personnel studying and guarding SCP-XXXX must report for a mandatory physical health examination once every two weeks. Any personnel with issues involving their health are to be removed from SCP-XXXX's containment site immediately until further notice.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a brass Victorian era pocket watch with a diameter of 6.35 cm with what appears to be a house or perhaps a farm or plantation engraved on the front of the frame fabricated in the 1890's by an unknown manufacturer. The dial is a standard roman numeral variation commonly found from the Victorian era. Several slits are located around the dial leading into the clockwork of the watch. A repetitive chant is constantly whispered from these slits and increases in volume in direct relation to how much blood is inserted. However, the chant itself remains incomprehensible regardless of the volume of the whispering. The whispers are measured at approximately 14.45 decibels without the addition of blood and 57.22 at its loudest with the addition of blood. The volume of the whispering slowly returns to 14.45. The rate of this is affected by the amount of blood introduced. Experiments involving the possible effects of this whispering on human subjects are ongoing. All attempts to study the clockwork of SCP-XXXX have failed as SCP-XXXX appears impervious to all forms of disassembly including but not necessary limited to standard disassembly, fracturing, heat damage, and high pressure.

Following death, individuals in possession of SCP-XXXX will be reanimated. The vital signs of the subject return with an increase in intensity. Subjects have been observed to have a median heart rate of 160 bpm resting and upwards of 240 bpm in action, brain activity nearly doubled and body temperature reached as high as 54.4 degrees centigrade do to a substantial boost to metabolic function. Following reanimation, subjects will proceed to attack and kill all persons within the immediate area. Reanimated individuals possess the ability to apparently detect all lifeforms in the immediate vicinity even through walls. Inhibiting the senses of the subject through the use of blindfolds and noise canceling headphones seemingly have no effect; The subject is still able to identify all lifeforms in the area without any noticeable delay. Sedatives have been found to passify reanimated subjects.

Following reanimation, the subject will swiftly tear the throat out any lifeform the subject can find regardless of species. Tests show that reanimated individuals do not prioritize any particular victim and will attack whatever living creature is closest to the subject excluding insects, arachnids, and other bloodless organisms. Following the exsanguination of the victim, the reanimated subject will open SCP-XXXX and pour the blood of its victims into the slits in the dial. The more blood given to SCP-XXXX, the stronger and faster the reanimated subject becomes. It has also been observed that the subject's mental function also improves, quickening reaction time and increasing resourcefulness. Muscle mass, Bone strength, and speed of mental processes. Wounds the subject had sustained before death and after reanimation are seemingly healed with the provision of blood to SCP-XXXX.

Over the course of 12 hours without the introduction of blood to SCP-XXXX, a reanimated subject will slowly desiccate before finally dying. However, time to full dessication of reanimated subjects is prolonged directly dependent on the amount of blood provided to SCP-XXXX before provision is ceased. It has been found that 100 ml of blood adds approximately 4 hours to the subject's lifespan.

Blood may be added to SCP-XXXX despite not having a reanimated subject with no observable effect. The blood of a reanimated individual has no effect when presented to SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX will not reanimate any other individuals while one reanimated subject is active. Complete destruction of the heart and/or brain inhibits reanimation.

It is hypothesized that a reanimated individuals strength and mental functionality will continue to increase endlessly when left without intervention.

Addendum Following Containment Breach of SCP-XXXX-2

Any person within 1000 meters of SCP-XXXX will be reanimated. Following the death of a subject in which SCP-XXXX is more than 15 meters away, SCP XXXX will seemingly teleport into the stomach of the deceased individual before reanimating them. In this case, the reanimated subject will drink the blood of its victims in order to provide the watch with blood.

It has been found that salt is effective at delaying SCP-XXXX's teleportation by up to 8 minutes and salt exposed to sunlight for at least 6 hours is effective at delaying SCP-XXXX's teleportation by up to 35 minutes. When surrounded by salt, following the termination of an individual, SCP-XXXX will shake violently and produce a high pitched shriek. SCP-XXXX will seemingly try to cross the salt through its shaking. After completely crossing the salt, SCP-XXXX will immediately teleport. Upon crossing the salt, it was documented that the lifespan of reanimated subjects was reduced by 80% at minimum.

SCP-XXXX-1

SCP-XXXX was first brought to the Foundation's attention following reports of a significant number of violent homicides perpetrated at a hospital in Wisconsin by Taylor ██████ (later designated by the Foundation as SCP-XXXX-1) a resident of █████████, Wisconsin, U.S.A. committed on July 17th 19██. SCP-XXXX-1 was involved in an automobile accident involving a cargo truck that was transporting lengths of rebar to a construction site in █████████. He was taken to ██████ ██████████ ██████████ ████████ Hospital and according to hospital reports, SCP-XXXX-1 was impaled through his left lung, liver, stomach, and right kidney by the rebar. Unable to repair the substantial internal bleeding, SCP-XXXX-1 died do to heavy internal hemorrhaging and was pronounced deceased at 16:57. However, following somewhere between 1 to 5 minutes based on reports made by hospital staff, SCP-XXXX-1 began to sputter and cough wildly. Hospital staff administered a sedative and proceed to repair the internal damage.

During surgery, surgeons discovered SCP-XXXX within SCP-XXXX-1's stomach and removed it. When SCP-XXXX-1 awoke, he went into what has been described as "a carnal rage". SCP-XXXX-1 proceeded to rip out his IV, grabbed SCP-XXXX which was lying on a table near his bed and proceeded to tear the throat out of the attending nurse, Judith ████████, with his teeth. SCP-XXXX-1 then proceeded to run through the halls of the hospital killing anyone he came in contact with. Law enforcement were dispatched to the hospital and opened fire on SCP-XXXX-1. 4 officers were killed before SCP-XXXX-1 finally succumbed to his wounds and died resulting in a total of ███ deaths. A Foundation autopsy later found that SCP-XXXX-1 was shot a total of 34 times with 9 mm hollow point ammunition before he finally died. He weighed nearly 137.438 kilograms, 63.5029 more than was recorded on his last physical which was performed February 27th 19██. The extra weight was identified to entirely constituted out of muscle. His bone density quadrupled as well and was now .435 meters taller.

SCP-XXXX-2

At 02:17 on August 15th, 19██, subject D-4115 was terminated following an altercation unrelated to SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX teleported into D-4115, reanimating him. D-4115 killed ██ Foundation Personnel including █ researchers before finally being terminated. Dr. ████ ██████ was held responsible for lax containment measures and was severely reprimanded. SCP-XXXX was re-classed as Euclid following the incident and moved to an off-cite containment location to minimize the risk of further containment breaches.

Note added by Dr. Callard

The findings I have gathered about SCP-XXXX leave me with a bit of a conundrum. The watch teleports into the first person to expire within 1000 meters of the thing. People perish at hospitals fairly often. Yet, Taylor ██████, comes into the hospital and HE is brought back by the thing? Not another patient? I perused the hospital's records and wouldn't you have it, a patient died of an overdose around 10 hours prior without reanimating. It wasn't in the premises until 10 hours before the incident at the earliest. How did the damn thing end up in the hospital to begin with? it couldn't have been on his person as it was found in his stomach meaning that it had to be at the very least 15 meters away from him when he died. No, Someone had to have brought SCP-XXXX within 1000 meters of Mr. ██████ after he was brought to the emergency room.
