Teacup Idea

Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: jdgf
Description: SCP-XXXX is an ornate ceramic teacup, measuring approximately 8.9 cm in diameter and 5 cm in height. Before its anomalous properties manifest, its volume is approximately 207 ml. SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties manifest when it holds liquid. When a liquid is held in SCP-XXXX and then poured out, the liquid that is poured out will have deprecated in volume by approximately 34-51%. The liquid in SCP-XXXX always appears to be the non-deprecated volume both when it is in the cup and when it is poured out. The lost volume is only evident when the volume is measured after it has been emptied. The length of time that the liquid is within SCP-XXXX does not appear to have an effect on the amount of liquid lost. See Testing Log XXXX-1 for details.

Updated Description: On 03/22/2015, SCP-XXXX was damaged during testing and additional anomalous properties were discovered. SCP-XXXX was accidentally dropped a short distance onto a table and a small chip measuring approximately 1.1 cm was broken off of the edge of the cup. The cup (previously SCP-XXXX) is now SCP-XXXX-1 and the shard is SCP-XXXX-2. While picking up the piece, Researcher Hahn accidentally cut himself with the shard and it was found that it had the ability to remove matter.
