Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures:: No Special Containment Procedure is necessary for SCP-XXXX for the reason that SCP-XXXX does not present info neither memetic hazard.

Due to Incident XXXX-1, the Special Containment Procedures were updated. Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX itself can not be contained, despite this, the transmission of SCP-XXXX can be mitigated and stopped.

Any person showing signs of first level contamination from SCP-XXXX must be administered class C aminestesics. If the contamination case become aggravated all drawings of SCP-XXXX must be destroyed, and any person that comes in contact with any drawings originated from an infected person must be contained at a standard humanoid containment cell, and deprived of any material that can be used as a drawing utensil for a period of one month, also must be administered class C aminestesics.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a drawing of a dog/ferret-like creature in a doodle style, that resembles a child drawing with scratch lines, the creature is drawn in a simple two dimensional, with no background nor color.

On the forward portion of the creature, where the head would be, there is one dot representing its eye and one curved line resembling a smile. Directly behind the head, it can be found what looks like an ear, drawn in a triangular shape, with a smaller black triangle inside. In the middle section, where it would be the thorax of the creature, it has a black spot. On the back portion of the creature, it has a tail point up, with some scratches resembling movement.

It is also commonly found with the drawing the scientific name of the creature, following the Binomial nomenclature rule. The first part of the name always remains the same (Josney) giving the idea that Josney is the genus of the creature.

The second part of the name varies with the mood of the person that drew it or the place it was drawn.
For example: Josney computadora (found in a computer) or Josney boredominus (found in a document about the history of zinc mining).

The contamination of SCP-XXXX can occur when a person comes in contact with a drawing of SCP-XXXX and interacts with it, an interaction being touching the drawing, making a comment of the drawing, or drawing SCP-XXXX on any surface.

The contamination has two stages: The first one being harmless. The symptoms of the first stage include: thinking constantly about SCP-XXXX followed by an irrational need of drawing SCP-XXXX, helping to spread the contamination.
This stage may advance to Stage two of contamination in a one month period, if the subject does not advance to stage two in this period, it can be considered clear of infection.
The second stage of contamination will become harmful if not treated properly. Symptoms of stage two contamination include constant thinking and talking about SCP-XXXX, with possible manifestation in dreams. Usually, the speech is in a noncoherent way, and the subject will show the irrational need to draw SCP-XXXX at any cost (subject may even draw SCP-XXXX with their own blood).

If at this point the subject is not treated it will start having hallucinations about SCP-XXXX claiming that he or she can hear SCP-XXXX. There is no known way of stopping SCP-XXXX infection at this degree, and in a period of two weeks, the subject will show signs of madness, hysteria, and will draw SCP-XXXX repeatedly non stop refusing to stop to eat or drink. This will continue until the subject dies of dehydration.

If a subject comes in contact with a drawing of SCP-XXXX prior drawn by a second stage infected person, the symptoms will develop faster. Subject may even skip the first stage, or show signs of hysteria within two hours after exposure.

The following is an interview after the Incident XXXX-1. Occurred at XX/XX/2019 at [redacted], Brazil

After this event, the Foundation was contacted, and it was discovered a mass infraction of SCP-XXXX. Not only the students and the teacher from [redacted], was contaminated but the whole police department that responded to the call and also one building complex where one of the students lives was already showing signs of stage two contamination.

All subjects involved were treated following the Special Containment Procedure, and a total of one causality was reported, that being the teacher.
