Item #: SCP-####
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-#### is to be contained within a 5x5x3 Meter enclosure. The enclosure walls and door are to be comprised of a steel alloy, approximately 10 Centimeters thick. The door is to remain locked at all times unless staff or designated personnel are within the subjects enclosure. All personnel entering SCP-####’s enclosure must adorn a full suit of kevlar body armour. At the start of each month, Researchers are instructed to enter the subject’s enclosure for a medical examination of SCP-####. During this examination, any excess fungal growth is to be monitored, and removed when necessary. And the subject’s nails are to be measured, and then filed down to 8 Centimeters with an industrial grade metal file. The enclosure is to be permanently lit by Fluorescent light bulbs that produce a light temperature* of no less than 5500 degrees Kelvin. Each bulb is to be inspected on a bi-weekly basis, and are to be replaced when their designated expiration dates draw near. Four camera’s must be present in the enclosure, so as to observe SCP-####. If SCP-#### is disturbed, or shows signs of consciousness, all staff are directed to evacuate the subject’s enclosure. And on site security forces are to remain on standby until the subject has properly returned to a comatose state.
Description: SCP-#### appears to be a Syrian male, approximately 1.4 Meters tall. Subject is heavily deformed, large scars cover the subject’s extremities and face. SCP-####’s short stature is due to a severely hunched back. Estimates put SCP-####’s true height at around 1.7 Meters. SCP-####’s epidermis shows sign of severe aging, heavily cracked and peeling skin can be found on almost every part of the subject’s body. Despite this, SCP-#### shows little to no pain in regards to its current state of physical deterioration. All attempts by researchers to take a sample of SCP-#### have been met with failure. See Addendum ####-A.
Other notable features include:
Severe Cataracts, covering both Eyes.
The lack of, or apparent removal, of the subject’s Genitals.
Fungal growths across the body. Most notably around the subject’s feet.
Several Chipped/Broken Teeth.
Fractured/Broken Fibula, Clavicle, Ulna, Radius, Scapula, Olecranon, Ischial Tuberosity, Gluteal Tuberosity, and several Ribs.
Evidence suggests that SCP-#### does not produce the protein Alpha-Keratin. Instead, subject’s finger and toe nails are composed of a steel/carbon based alloy. Through testing, the alloy has been identified as Damascus Steel. It is currently unknown how the subject is able to produce the alloy through natural processes.
Foundation personnel were first alerted to the presence of SCP-#### by agent Yassefe, on ██/██/2016. Agent Yassefe forwarded several medical reports procured from the Syrian military. The reports detail similar injuries to Syrian military personnel, and the recovered bodies of militant groups, stationed in and around the city of Damascus, Syria. Injuries include deep lacerations on the patient’s arms, torso, and head. Fatalities between the Syrian military and opposing militant groups were vastly different. Attacks on Syrian patrols averaged between one, or no casualties. However, patrols of opposing militant groups typically yielded between three to five casualties. It is believed that this difference is due to a lack of protective body armour within the militant forces.
SCP-#### was recovered on ██/██/20██ once conflict between the Syrian military and opposing militant groups had ceased.
Additional Notes:
Addendum ####-A: In an effort to try and determine the proper age of SCP-####. Researcher Asher opted to enter SCP-####’s enclosure, and attempt to remove samples of the subject’s epidermis. Unfortunately, any organic piece of SCP-####’s skin that was removed turned to dust once it had separated from the subject’s body. After several attempts, Researcher Asher vacated the subject’s enclosure. All further attempts at the retrieval of SCP-####’s organic tissue have been banned by Researcher Asher.
Light Temperature: The value of the waves produced by a light source. For example, Sunlight averages between 5400-5600 degrees Kelvin, resulting in a blue tinge.
