SCP-XXXX is an office chair produced by Staples. It is a black Lockland Bonded Leather Big & Tall Managers Chair, model #53235.

Special containment: SCP-XXXX is to be placed in a [size] room, with a strap holding it into place. Bi-weekly inspections given, to make sure the chair is properly tightened and strapped.

SCP-XXXX was discovered on January 22nd, 2017 after police reports were filed for an accident on [data expunged], Washington, PA. The reports starts with two Staples employees moving out an office chair that was put on display. When out of site of the public and other staff, the men began to play around with SCP-XXXX before moving it into a storage truck parked outside. The report then states that one of the men began to raise the chair by pulling on the level adjustments, but it went far beyond what the chairs were capable of, and exceeding the physical limits that it should have been capable of. Local law enforcement was called in when the chair had rose to a height that frighted the mall staff and customers, who began to notice the chair from outside. Before police arrived, a loud bang was heard for approximately [distance]. The chair had snapped back to a normal size at an accelerated rate. The man in the chair being launched higher into the air, and killed upon impact with the ground.

Researchers found no other anomalous traits with the chair, other than it's ability to be pumped to great lengths. When attempts to find a limit to SCP-XXXX height, [distance] was recorded before it was considered meaningless to continue. SCP-XXXX will always snap back into a default height of [that] at a speed of [it], both ends moving center. SCP-XXXX appears to take no damage from impact with itself, but has suffered minor scratches and scrapes from interacting with other objects. The handle responsible for adjusting the height of the chair is fitted firmly, and poses no potential threat of moving on it's own.

Attempts to dismantle or intentionally damage SCP-XXXX have not been made. Further experiments of SCP-XXXX have been suggested;

1. testing what happens if an object capable of damaging the chair is placed between the ends before snapping.
