Chromaggia
Object Class: Euclid
Containment Procedures: Chromaggia is to be kept in a standard humanoid containment cell, with special measures taken to ensure that the cell is entirely soundproof. Chromaggia is to be monitored via video surveillance and is to have an audience with at least one male D-Class once a month to prevent the possibility of a breach. The cell is to be inspected daily for structural weakness or degradation in the soundproofing material. In the event of suspected tampering on the part of Chromaggia, it is to be sedated as repairs are made to prevent it from activating its anomalous properties.
Description: Chromaggia is a female humanoid, standing at approximately 170 cm, and weighs at roughly 66 kg. It appears to be a normal human female, despite the anomalous substance secreted from its skin. It speaks and understands English and Italian, and is considered as intelligent as an average human. Chromaggia’s eyes are black with no discernable irises or other such features present in the normal human eye. Despite this, it has no trouble seeing, and can even make out movement by sight in absolute darkness.
The anomalous properties of Chromaggia begin with the white, chalky substance secreted from the skin. The substance, despite its appearance and texture, is composed of beta-keratin. This substance makes the skin of Chromaggia resistant to lesser forms of damage and trauma. The substance is incapable of being removed, despite numerous cleaning procedures. This substance loses its resilience once it is separated from Chromaggia’s person.
Another anomalous property of Chromaggia is its voice, which can reach frequencies as high as 6000 Hz and as loud as 150 decibels. The voice of Chromaggia allows it to shatter glass and damage audio equipment, and it will attempt to use this to escape containment if provided with an opportunity.
The effects of Chromaggia’s voice vary, depending on the sex of the listener. Females will be unable to hear Chromaggia, and will complain of ear pain and ringing. Males, however, will experience immense pain, described by D-Class personnel as feeling like being violently shaken or vibrated. Extended exposure for males leads to the same result; expiration, caused by a chalky substance identical to Chromaggia’s skin excretion building up in the larynx and asphyxiating the subject.
Chromaggia is docile, but only if a single male human is brought into its containment cell once a month to undergo this process.
