Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX Must be kept suspended at least 15 meters (49ft) above ground at all times. The cell of containment is to be made of concrete at least 4 inches thick to prevent any instances of SCP-XXXX-B that survive the fall to escape confinement. Cameras are to be placed in all four corners of the cell for twenty-four hour surveillance to monitor the frequency of level one-B security breaches. At least 3 heavily armed security officers must be placed outside of the containment cell at all times for the removal of any SCP-XXXX-B instances that make their way through SCP-XXXX.

If any personnel is injured by an instance of SCP-XXXX-B they are to be taken to the nearest medical facility for research to prevent death and any instances for SCP-XXXX-B-A. If an instance of SCP-XXXX-B-A occurs, termination of the corpse and SCP-XXXX-B-A via incineration is required.

Any experiments or scouting parties organised reguarding SCP-XXXX or it's contents must be approved and co-ordinated by at least 3 level 3 or higher researchers that must remain on site until the mirror is deemed safe to be hoisted back up to its original point of elevation. permission by site44-7's site director Kathy Nolan or head of moble task force Lamba-7 John Cotton must also be given.

Description: SCP-XXXX resembles that of an old Victorian era mirror with ornate markings etched into the frame. The markings resemble that of creatures found within SCP-XXXX (designated SCP-XXXX-A through to SCP-XXXX-D) The reflective surface of SCP-XXXX resembles that of ordianry glass though does not hold the same physical properties. Once organic material touches the surface of SCP-XXXX a rippling effect can be observed as well as the physical matter absorbing into the mirror. attempts to replicate this with inorganic material such as plastic or steel yeilds an entirely different effect varying on the particular material used and is met with high resistance though with enough force can be absorbed similarly to that of organic material.

Inside of SCP-XXXX shows an impossibly large landscape which is completely unobservable from the outside. It is unclear how large the area inside of SCP-XXXX is though through multiple scouting efforts made by Lambda-7 ("Violet Cultists") an area of around 3,000 km² has been explored and mapped since SCP-XXXX's discovery in 2001. Further exploration has ceased due to increasing casualties from the rise in agression displayed in SCP-XXXX-B (refer to exploration log- 03 "Cold Weather" for more information).

SCP-XXXX contains several species of unique inhabitants varying in levels of erratic behaviour. SCP-XXXX-B appears to be the most prevalent of the aformentioned creatures, also displaying the highest levels of aggression towards any trespassers. SCP-XXXX-B appears as a humanoid creature standing at around 170cm (5.5ft) with thin long limbs along with an ameranth hue. The torso of SCP-XXXX-B is covered in matted black hair often infested with Pediculus humanus humanus commonly refered to as body lice. A white coat of unknown materal closely resembling that of silk encases the head of SCP-XXXX-B. A thin red line and 3 black spheres cover the spaces of where the mouth and eyes would be in respectively. Long nails on the fingertips and toes protrude abnormally causing visible irritation in a majority of SCP-XXXX-B instances.

Despite the awkward growth of these nails, SCP-XXXX-B utilizes their nails by fashioning them into effective claws. Once the process of sharpening the nails has finished, SCP-XXXX-B will then begin consuming large amounts of the surrounding unidentified flora allowing for a few moments to pass for ingestion before regurgitating it back onto their hands, feet and nails creating an extremely leathal coating. While it is noted that SCP-XXXX-B is assumed to be mostly immune to the concoction, there have been examples of some SCP-XXXX-B instances having a very intense reaction upon regurgitating this can result in death in some extremely rare cases.

In instances where SCP-XXXX-B is successful in getting this poison in contact with human skin the subject will imediately experience an intense burning sensation followed by loud auditory hallucinations. After several minutes the subject will lose most cognitive ability, only retaining the basic functions to survive such as breathing and maintaining a regular heartbeat. After precisely one hour has passed since infection all bodily functions will cease but the subject will continue to have high brain activity for several hours after death. during this time the same white material seen covering SCP-XXXX-B's head will begin coating the inside of the subjects body. after a full 24 hour cycle a small red paracite (deemed SCP-XXXX-B-A) will emerge from the subjects nasal cavity and imediately begin seeking a particular plant species found only within the confines of SCP-XXXX. SCP-B-A will then proceed to latch onto the roots of the plant for a short time before beginning to form into an instance of SCP-XXXX-B. this process can take up to three months depending on the season and temperature. Experiments to ascertain the exact ingredients used for the poison and means of creating instances of SCP-XXXX-B are currently underway.

Other creatures found within SCP-XXXX tend to be more timid. SCP-XXXX-C and SCP-XXXX-D are the only known memebers of their respective species as far as scouting teams have been able to judge and requires the utmost discretion upon veiwing or speaking of SCP-XXXX-C and SCP-XXXX-D. While SCP-XXXX-C and SCP-XXXX-D are observed to be entirely passive yet curious they also have a tendency to inexplicbly vanish upon being caught during their stalking of SCP foundation personnel. SCP-XXXX-C is an extremely large humanoid measuring at an appoximate 100m (330ft). Despite the large lumbering nature of SCP-XXXX-C it is perfectly capable of remaining undetected for long periods of time often using it's varied mossy green appearance to appear no different to the tall dense foliage often seen within SCP-XXXX. not much else is known about SCP-XXXX-C other than it's close relationship with SCP-XXXX-D. SCP-XXXX-D is a large canine resembling that of a wolf in appearance. Even less is known of SCP-XXXX-D as it generally tends to hide behind or within close proximity of SCP-XXXX-C. The idea that the relationship is purely mutualistic in nature or if there is a codependency between the two is currently being investigated.

SCP-XXXX-A is yet to have any meaningful phsycal sightings though has proven to be responsible for several of the disapearances of SCP Personnel throughout scouting opperations (refer to exploration log-02 "Recovery" for more information). In all instances of recovered personnel displays of extreme paranoia and panic can be observed. At some point during the abduction the individual is subjected to extreme trauma resulting in all those effected to suffer symptoms of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) All subjects have been noted to develope Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) Though it is unclear if this is a result of a natural means of coping or if this is an intentional side effect caused by SCP-XXXX-A (see Interview- 01 "Mr Sean Crawford"). No subjects have been able to successfully be rehabilitated to the point of being able to give a comprehensive recollection of events. out of those who were asked to try, three have been reported to have committed suicide moments after the interview while the remaining 2 have ███████ due to [DATA EXPUNGED] by order of ██████
