Non-Anomalous version of SCP-XXXX on display in a museum.

Warning:
During containment it is vital that under no circumstances should any lifeforms ever come in contact with SCP-XXXX's pedals, or come close to doing so. See following logs for further details.

Special Containment Procedures:

All instances of SCP-XXXX are to have their front tire, back tires, and handlebars bound to its frame with 3/4" (~2 cm) thick steel plates welded together. This action is to be performed upon acquiring any instance of SCP-XXXX by 3 highly skilled metal workers operating within MTF-Bridges 8 "Big Tikes" (A jig capable of more easily containing SCP-XXXX is currently under research). After all of these actions have been performed and the recovered instance of SCP-XXXX is under the Foundation's watch, a more permanent containment of SCP-XXXX within Site 22 is as follows:

All bindings constructed on SCP-XXXX are to meet this criteria:
- Bindings must be capable of completely limiting movement of at both pedals in all rotational directions
- Bindings must be capable of keeping tires and handlebars unmovable
- Bindings must be made of Steel
- Bindings must be constructed by MTF-Bridges8 "Big Tikes"

Once bindings have been approved by all on-site inspectors assigned to containment, SCP-XXXX is to be secured inside of wooden crates custom fit to SCP instance's proportions. These wooden containers are to be classified as SCP-XXXX-WC, and are to be brought via forklift to the Site 22's anomalous item's warehouse. All SCP-XXXX-WC are to be loaded into 40 ft (~12m) reinforced commercial shipping containers, stack no more than 7 high, 6 wide, and 19 deep. Once a shipping container is filled, it's doors are to be latched shut, and a half inch (~13mm) chain is to be secured around the door bars with a lock. These shipping containers are to be placed at the bottom of the stack when moved for storage. Once every 10 years, each instance is to be re-examined for any wear in the bindings, or physical malformations. If any wear in bindings are present they are to be reported to MTF-Bridges8 "Big Tikes". DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FIX BINDING.

Description:

SCP-XXXX is a Zoomin™ brand Tricycle with anomalous speed capabilities, sentience. It's description is similar to that of a ███ █████ Tricycle which many of our staff rode as children, with the only key difference being 2 stickers along the side of the body. The stickers are non-anomalous, and can be easily removed with basic acids or water. The anomalous properties of SCP-XXXX come from its anomalous property to accelerate to incredible speeds with no indication of stopping, and it's semi-present sentient capabilities. The trike's anomalous ability to accelerate is not yet fully understood or harnessed, with previous testing and sampling from recovery zones revealing nothing. The sentience of SCP-XXXX is under the subject of debate, where on multiple occasions it has moved during binding procedures, to the point of rolling away but never intentionally harming or forcing contact with pedals.

The only recorded speeds of SCP-XXXX are as follows:

Addendum XXXX: Intelligence, Recovery, Containment, MTF Bridges 8
Due to the sheer number of Instances of SCP-XXXX, Mobile Task Force - Bridges 8 "Big Tikes"was assembled to gather intelligence regarding the number of Instances of SCP-XXXX, and act as the Containment front line for this SCP. After the successful raid on the Zoomin™ factory several internal company reports were recovered and after combing over the thousands of internal reports, 3 documents were recovered that would be vital in containing all instances of SCP-XXXX. These documents include a sales invoice with the names of every store that had purchased stock of SCP-XXXX, a internal manufacturing report which listed the number of manufactured SCP-XXXX, and a note sent between Zoomin™ and its beneficiaries regarding the Geographical spread of Zoomin™. Among all of the recovered documents, the three documents previously mentioned are the only documents that MTF-Bridges 8 "Big Tikes"use on a consistent basis to track down and capture SCP-XXXX. Regarding containment bindings, a reference is made to the drawing made by an MTF-Bridges 8 private, ████████. The private had no previous experience with SCP-XXXX, and only minor experience with metal working as a blacksmith apprentice. The private submitted the drawing to their superiors and after testing was approved it was remarked as the perfect containment procedure until a more permanent containment can be found. Private █████████ is now Captain, and oversees MTF-Bridges8.

Incident Reports:

+Incident 1: Christmas

On Christmas Day, ███ 1,452 children came to their Christmas Tree to see their brand new Zoomin™ Tricycle. As children do, they unwrapped SCP-XXXX, and took it outside. 42 children died during the unwrapping, and transporting process. Once outside, the remaining children hopped on like you would any trike and immediately sped away. Most children collided with the nearest house or surface and suffered major injuries, but some went as fast as to cause death due to sheer G-Force on impact. The most commonly referenced instance is the story of a Site 22 guard's son, ███████. ███████ had reached a top speed of 127 Mph (archival records from a digital speed limit sign's radar.) before he crashed into a nearby ditch. ███████ died on impact.

Purpose of Interview: Dr Bullmont lost a son and daughter to SCP-XXXX. Despite much resistance from faculty, Dr Bullmont has been allowed to interview SCP-XXXX under the reasoning of: “to test for sentience”.

Dr Bullmont: “SCP-XXXX instance 24579, on December 25 of this year you and your kind were purchased under the false thought that you were just any ordinary Tricycle. But you weren’t. Do you understand that you killed your riders? Does two children ring a bell?”

SCP-XXXX-24579: (no response)

Dr Bullmont: “So, the silent type huh? Well, you see, on that day your kind took the lives of 1,452 children. Do you feel any remorse for this?”
SCP-XXXX-24579: (no response, moves wheel to the left slightly)

Dr Bullmont: “Come on dude, just spill the beans! You know you killed those kids! So why don’t you tell me how exactly you did it? How did you accelerate so quickly into that wall? And most importantly, why was the factory you were found at abandoned, whereas hours beforehand you had a scheduled shipment, and

SCP-XXXX-24579: [no verbal response, but the temperature inside the room increased form 70F (21C) to 73F (22C))]

Director █████████: "Dr. Bullmont, please exit the interview room please."

Dr. Bullmont: "F—— you Director, I'm killing this thing if it's the last thing I do… "

Final Statement:

After "End Log", Dr. Bullmont lunged at the SCP. Dr. Bullmont then rocketed through the ceiling and out of the facility. Witnesses on the ground recall hearing a firework like noise, and screaming, following interviews 14 witnesses were administered basic amnesiacs. Further investigation using orbiting telescopes lead to the discovery of a new planet on an elliptical solar orbit, Dr. Bullmont

+Interview 2:  Zoomin™ Factory Worker

Interviewed: Mr. █████████, Factory Worker (Referenced as 'FW' in interview log)
Interviewer: Mr. ████, Foundation Accountant (Referenced as 'FA' in interview log)
Purpose of Interview: During the raid conducted by soon to be MTF unit Bridges-8, the once busy worksite of Zoomin was found hastily abandoned and most data wiped from computers."

<BEGIN LOG> May 5, ████.

*FA enters interview room*

FW: "Pretty nice place you guys got here! It's clean, well kept…"

FA: "Mr. █████████, would you minding answering a few questions for me?"

FW: "Sorry, at my house I'm a bit of a slob, and it feels nice to be somewhere cleaner than…"

FA: "All I asked for was a yes, or no answer."

FW: "Sorry… yes."

FA: "Okay, first question: What do you work as?"

FW: "Well… my day job is working as a Janitor's Assistant in █████, mainly cleaning Factories, Auto Shops, and Power Plants. But… if you are asking, on the side I do sell a little bit of Cana…"

FA: "Mr. █████████… although most authorities may be more intrigued by what you do on the side, we only want to know more about your Janitorial job. We want to know if you have ever worked at a factory off Highway [Redacted]? They specialized in manufacturing… toys, mainly Tricycles. We have reason to believe that…"

FW: "Say what now? That factory has been abandoned since the Stone Age! I was born, raised, and live in this parts, and I have NEVER seen that factory ever start up. And no, I haven't worked there before, and I don't know what your talking about."

FA: "… the factory was built 10 weeks ago sir, the land was previously owned by… "

FW: "Yeah, yeah, I'm just yankin your chain… I honest to god have no memory of working there, but I did receive a very large paycheck in the mail from my work, which had paid me for work which I haven't the slightest clue of. They said I worked at some factory or summin…"

FA: "Yes, we know that already. *Pauses* What was it that you said again? A very large sum? Tell me more."

FW: "Ah yeah, it was somewhere in the range of 2-3 grand, but I thought it was fake, and hung it up on…"

FA: "Your bedroom wall. We know."

FW: "See, how'd you known that?"

FA: "Sir, just answer me this. You have no recollection of working there? Ever? "

FW: "…well, only one memory, and it ain't a fond one."

FA: "Go on."

FW: "Well… I was doing my usual runs in the place, ya know, cleanin the office, scrubbin toilets, and then a man approached me. He said he was the owner, and thanked me for my work, but he told me that he didn't need me to clean tomorrow night, said something about… he had a few visitors coming over, and he didn't want me in between it all."

FA: "Did he mention their names?"

FW: "Yeah, he said something like… uh, what did I just say?"

FA: "You don't remember?"

FW: "No, just that they were… well now I can't even remember leavin that place. Matter of fact, I don't even remember checking out my time sheet, or making breakfast this morning. Wait a minute… am I dead now? Are you God?"

FA: *sigh* "That's enough, stop the interview"

Final Statement:
Foundation Accountant, Mr. ████:

"It was like he wanted to tell us what happened, and believe me he would have if he could. Guy speaks his mind, and when he was talking about his experience with the factory, it was like his memory was taking away every piece that he was putting down. But we have gained insight, there are other factory workers, there is a CEO, and a meeting was held. Problem is… no one has seen the workers since last year, and everyone who knew them, doesn't even acknowledge their existence. And although I was never able to find the final financial records, I had hoped he was what I needed to give me insight into the bankruptcy, but I have a feeling that the Records department is going to have quite the experience when interviewing this guy."

Experiments:

+Experiment 1: Runway Test

Participants: Dr. ████████████, and assistant Dr. ██████.

Date: June 23, ████

Procedure: Foundation personnel transported one instance of SCP-XXXX to the closest decommissioned Airplane Runway. One D-Class personnel is to mount the Tricycle and place both their feet on the pedals. A concrete wall is to be placed at the end of the runway to prevent over running the runway. All Foundation personnel are to remain inside of the Aircraft Hangar until the test is over.

Events: The D-Class personnel is sent out to SCP-XXXX, and through speakers is asked to ride as far as possible. At first the D-Class personnel is highly skeptical, but after being offered 20 years time off of his sentence (which would have concluded it), the individual hops on. Just moments after buckling himself into SCP-XXXX, and putting his feet on the pedals, he sped away down the runway. He crossed the runway in 2.3 seconds, and broke through all four walls before his vital signs ceased. The record speed was 245 Mph. SCP-XXXX was in pristine condition, the same cannot be said for the D-Class individual, who suffered from 13 broken ribs, internal bleeding, and other injuries that we will not go into depth with. This specific D-Class individual is making a slow recovery, and is not expected to make it through the night.

+Experiment 2: Salt Flats

Participants: Dr. ████████████, and assistant Dr. ██████.

Date: July 7, ████

Procedure: Similar to Experiment 1: Runway Test, but instead the Utah Salt Flats are to be substituted for the runway. Several speed records have been set here, and it was the ideal location for testing.

Events: Foundation Personnel were housed behind 1' (3 cm) thick bullet resistant glass 100 yards from the start line. An adrenaline hopping D-Class personnel was asked to board the Tricycle and ride. Without hesitation he boarded, and buckled himself in with a 4 point harness, and as with the previous experiment, once the pedals were touched the rider shot off. Vitals ceased at approximately 4.2 seconds after launch, and SCP-XXXX sunk 17 feet into the salt flat. Any remnants of the D-Class personnel were never recovered, and SCP-XXXX was recovered successfully. The recorded top speed was 552 mph.

I would like to make it very apparent that we were only 50 mph under the land speed record! I honestly think that with a little bit of G-Force training, we could get a higher speed! And possibly harness this momentum into a mode of transportation, even space travel.

Note: After the outcome of Experiment 2, all further experimentation is to be ceased, and all efforts are to be spent on the recovery and containment of SCP-XXXX.
