Special Containment Procedures: Item-XXXX, contained at Site-██ is to be kept in a 6 by 9 meter cell with windows on the roof of the cell to allow for sunlight exposure. The floor of the cell is to comprise of dirt that extends to at least 3 meters deep. Within the dirt should be the necessary irrigation plumbing required to sustain the richness of the soil. Under no circumstances should the Item be moved to a containment cell without a source of sunlight. A Grow Light is required in the containment cell which the item is located in. Studies in the past show that Item-XXXX works best with Elaine 45W 88LED. The Grow Light is not required during the day, however, is required during the night. Under no circumstances should this item be exposed to darkness or artificial light that does not mimic the sun.

Description: With a height of approximately 5.46 meters, Item-XXXX assumes the appearance of a conventional apple tree - the apple type yielded by the tree is Honey Crisp. The anomalistic effects of the tree seem to vary from subject to subject; it is unknown as to what determines which subject receives what effects. One becomes subjected to the anomalistic effects of Item-XXXX by ingesting one of its apples. A list of anomalistic displays has been compiled below, keep in mind that the subject will only be given one of these displays:

• Sudden Death¹
• Prophetic abilities²
• Omniscience³
• Astral Projection Abilities⁴

A subject who displays the anomalistic signs of Item-XXXX is designated Item-XXXX-1 and is to be terminated once the test is concluded.
Subjects that display prophetic abilities will be designated as SCP-XXXX-2 and will be kept in containment for further use and research by Foundation Personnel. These subjects should not be terminated. All subjects that come in contact with Item-XXXX will receive one of the four anomalistic symptoms. (See Addendum XXXX-1)
If placed in an area without natural sunlight Item-XXXX will rapidly grow, each branch growing 0.5 meter(s) per minute. Item-XXXX has the ability to grow on any surface save for substances made out of ██████. The growth of the anomaly is stunted when exposed to a light source that is or mimics sunlight.

Addendum XXXX-1
Immunity from the anomalous effects of Item-XXXX is possible - as in the case of D-Class: 145521 who participated in an experiment conducted by Researcher K█████ under the supervision of Doctor B█████. Posted below are the notes of Doctor B█████. Below is an electronic copy of Doctor B█████'s notes.

Excerpt from the notes of Doctor B█████:

SCP-XXXX, Experiment ██, █/█/2003

This is something that needs to be logged. Over 7█ experiments and only once has this happened. I truly do not think my colleagues will believe me - but it appears that the subject which I had just run another test on has no anomalous reactions! This is something that I did not think would happen, hundreds of Class-D██████████s and only now have we found a Class-D█████████ with a supposed immunity from Item-XXXX. As of right now is it unknown as to what caused Class-D: █████████ to gain resistance against Item-XXXX's anomalistic effects. Further research is required. I hope that the Scientific C█████l allows me to continue researching this Item and the Class-D.

1. Multiple misfires and over-fires from neurons within the brain ordering the body to shut down all major organs, halting the heart, lungs, and brain itself until the subject dies abruptly. Any attempt to revive the subject results in another misfire.

2. Subject gains the ability to predict major events - specifically events regarding the Foundation. For some reason SCP-XXXX-2 Items usually receive prophetic visions that detail the Foundation but not other organizations.

3. Subject gains unlimited knowledge of all things - this must result in the termination of the subject immediately and on the spot. To determine Omniscience the Researcher is to follow Protocol OmniIntel-142.156.A

4. Subject gains the ability to remove their consciousness from their body and "be" at anywhere and "witness" anything. Subject is to be terminated if this anomaly is to surface.
