Infinite Bubble Wrap
Item #: SCP-XXXX, Infinite Bubble Wrap
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: This object should be in a container about 0.7x0.7 meters large. This object needs no guards, and request to see the item are usually accepted. This object is allowed to be taken outside of containment, but with somebody, and is not allowed out of containment without somebody watching it.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an object that resembles bubble wrap, it is a large tarp that is rolled up into a cylinder, about 0.5 meters wide. This object has the ability to re-inflate bubbles that have been popped before.
When pulling on the cylinder to remove wrap, it will keep generating. It is unknown how this is possible, as the cylinder only looks like it holds about 3 meters.
When one pops a bubble of the wrap, it makes the subject feel calm, and removes stress. This can be helpful to give workers a break from their job. With permission, Workers who are not assigned to work may request to use the bubble wrap as a break.
Test A - ███ - █ - 20██
Procedure: An individual was brought in to pop 10 bubbles, and was interviewed afterwards, the next day they were brought back in to pop another 10 bubbles, this time it was not the SCP-XXXX. The subject was interviewed again.
Results: During interview 1, the subject said that after popping the bubbles, he was de-stressing, and was happy afterwards. During interview 2, the subject had said almost the same thing.
Analysis: Popping bubble wrap causes dopamine to be released, as it is "Satisfying", this meaning that the stress removing property's of SCP-XXXX are not unique to itself.
Test B - ███ - █ - 20██
Procedure: At a large field, the bubble wrap was placed on a stick, the stick was in the center of the cylinder shape. A subject took the end of the bubble wrap and pulled on it, and was instructed to walk backwards to pull more from the wrap.
Results: The bubble wrap was able to generate about 1610 meters (about a mile). Subject very tired.
Analysis: The bubble wrap is endless, as we suspected, although we did not know how far we could stretch "endless". Turns out infinitely.
Test C - ███ - █ - 20██
Procedure: SCP-XXXX was put under a hydraulic press, to determine how powerful the bubble wrap is.
Results: The wrap immediately flattens, although when the press is released, the bubbles inflate once again and begins to puff up.
Analysis: SCP-XXXX is very, very strong.
Dr. Verlexin states; "This would be great for packaging goods, we might be able to use this for our benefit, to sell it… although we need to test it more to make sure it doesn't have any other… quirks…"
