STAGE TWO
Albedo details the removal of impurities, separation, coagulation and the unity of opposing properties. This stage is defined by insight, purity and receptivity.
STAGE THREE
Citrinitas or Xanthosis refers to the transmutation of silver to gold and phycological transmutation from reflective lunar light to the awakening solar dawn.
STAGE FOUR
Rubedo represents the conclusion of the process and success in creation of the Philosophers Stone. This final stage denotes the reunification of Self, discovery of one’s true nature and the integration of opposites.
SCP-xxxx prolonged suffering exposure purification apparent disease progresses. Results in complete loss of benign illness. Final stages of illness uncommon cold, confusion fog, muscle clarification fatigue. Patients developed cognitive infection, headache pain standard. Memory function complete forgetfulness. On 18/01/2019 an infectious disease outbreak occurred at the Pontifical University of Apollinaire. One tutor and 43 students required hospitalisation. The infected noted general flu-like symptoms followed by confusion, memory loss, cognitive dysfunction and disorientation.
The students report partaking in a one hour philosophy seminar but claim no memory of it’s content. As a large number of cases occurred within a short time frame from concentrated area the outbreak required investigation. The 44 infected underwent inpatient medical testing at the Lazzaro Spallanzani National Institute for Infectious Diseases. No pathological cause could be determined and the disease was concluded to be non-communicable. Tests to determine the cause of the symptoms proved inconclusive.

The incident involved 26 people from a clinical infection prevention and control conference. The 26 SCP-xxxx-1 instances underwent medical evaluation to determine the cause of their symptoms however the assessment returned inconclusive results. SCP-xxxx was transferred back to the Pontifical University of Apollinaire for Safe keeping.
On 21/4/2019 The third outbreak of SCP-xxxx-1 occurred after a public reading of SCP-xxxx during a traditional Easter Sunday Mass. A priest retrieved the book from the Vatican Apostolic Library believing it be a copy of the Roman Missal. Members of the congregation report no memory of the service and required hospitalisation once the symptoms had manifested. Testing conducted at the Institute failed to identify a cause for the outbreak. A transcription of the ceremony details the following paragraph:

Site 77 conducted an independent investigation in order to determine the cause and origin of this non-contagious ailment. SCP-xxxx was identified as a common factor in three instances of SCP-xxxx-1 and was commandeered for analysis. Initial toxicity testing conducted at the Institute returned negative results and the item was subsequently transferred to the Site 77 for further evaluation.

I don’t want to admit I’m struggling but I am struggling. My final year is such a step up from the second. If I don’t do something soon I’m either going to have to drop out or fail. My parents will be thrilled.

It really doesn’t help that most of my tutors have been on leave for so long. So many people have. There’s some kind of illness going around. Getting help has been next to impossible. I’ll drop by the Vatican library tomorrow and pick up something to help me study.

I could have sworn I’d picked up the book father Smythe recommended but when I got home it was this old dusty leather bound thing. I’ll take it back in the morning I’m too tired to go now. I might as well check it out in the meantime though maybe it will help. I need to practice my Latin anyway.

This thing is so old and fragile. I don’t even know why it’s just there on the shelf or why no one stopped me taking it out. My Latin is a little rusty but this book doesn’t make any sense. I feel like I’ve been reading it for hours and getting nowhere.
