Special Containment Procedures:
Prevent all persons including foundation Staff from entering a 200km radius of █████████████████. No surveillance of any type is to take place. The destruction of any satellites with optical equipment is authorized. Perform routine checks of all Discussion media of any notion of the site.
Description:
SCP-XXXX is an area of interest to the foundation that through unknown means has cost the foundation immeasurable costs including the low of personnel believed to be above ████ in number. Records of the site were discovered approximately 8 months before the drafting of this document.
Records recovered indicate that the SCP-XXXX event began when a probe of rumored cave ruins broke contact. A recovery team was sent to find the survey team, but then lost contact 2 KM from the site. A number of aircraft were dispatched to take high altitude photos two of the three craft failed to remain in contact when entering 35 km of the site. A perimeter of 17 listening posts in a 70 KM were deployed. These remained functional for 28 hours. A Tactical Observation Vehicle was Dispatched to approach the site with multi spectrum analysis capabilities. The observation vehicle provided live streamed data to a secured mobile lab out side the Listening post perimeter. After reaching the 50 KM mark the vehicle and the listening posts went dark.
At this point it was speculated that the attempts the observe the event might have an effect of expanding it's range.
On ████,██,██ at ██:██ A large scale Containment force was dispatched With cooperative elements from out side the foundation was launched in a bruit force attempt to stop the event. It was then believed that A violent response might yield different result then the observation focus of past attempts.
There is no record of the following week.
It was decided that a 200 km listening post Radius be established, and to await the interruption of the posts broadcasts.
It has since been noted that memory of Persons or items lost to the event are forgotten. A budgeting error and the following investigation led to the creation of this document.
Addendum 1: After a containment time of ██Years of "containment" a survey team will be dispatched.
