SCP-XXXX, removed from containtment for experimentation.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard inanimate-object containment cell at Site-██. No computers should be allowed in SCP-XXXX’s chamber at all times (See Experiment-XXXX-C). Access to SCP-XXXX should be limited to only Level 3+ Personnel due to several instances of staff using it as a replacement keyboard.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a Dell® Model AT101R Keyboard slightly tinted yellow by flame retardants. SCP-XXXX is connected to a PS/2 wire that can change depending on the port SCP-XXXX chooses to connect to (See Experiment-XXXX-B).
SCP-XXXX, if not in the vicinity of a computer, will not exhibit any anomalous traits apart from being unable to be disassembled or destroyed. SCP-XXXX will only start to show it’s anomalous properties after being left in the same room with a computer from the times 5 PM to 9 AM EST. At some point during these specified times, the object will begin its, "relocation event" and attach itself to the nearest computer in the room. If there already is a keyboard present at the computer it “chooses” to connect to, SCP-XXXX will get “dispose” of the other keyboard and replace it. If there are no ports left to plug into, SCP-XXXX will “dispose” of one of the devices plugged in an attempt to plug itself into a computer (See Experiment-XXXX-A). The whereabouts of the keyboards and other devices affected by SCP-XXXX and how SCP-XXXX accomplices the task of relocating itself at this point in time is unknown. Any observation of SCP-XXXX during the specified times causes SCP-XXXX to stay in the position it was last observed in for the duration of the relocation event.
Once connected to a computer, SCP-XXXX will work as a normal Dell® Model AT101R Keyboard. The anomalous effects will take place as a subject starts to use SCP-XXXX. As a subject starts to “type” on SCP-XXXX, they will feel no difference between SCP-XXXX and a regular keyboard. After approximately 25-30 minutes of typing, the subject will start to develop early symptoms of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome at an abnormal rate; this includes numbness in the fingers and wrists. Approximately 45-60 minutes after typing has begun, the subject will begin to feel intense pain in their wrists and swelling of the hands. Any further typing has resulted in symptoms relating to Osteoarthritis, Tendinitis, and in extreme cases, paralysis in the hands (See Experiment-XXXX-D).
Recovery: SCP-XXXX was found in an abandoned office complex that was formerly owned by █████ Corporations. Dr. S█████████ found the object while exploring the complex and brought it to Site-██. After using it at his personal computer for approximately 30 minutes, he complained to Dr. B██████████ of numbness in the hands and wrists despite never having a history with any hand or wrist related illnesses or injuries. Dr. B██████████ reported this to administration. Administration had Dr. S█████████’s computer destroyed and had the object immediately taken into containment.
Note: “All future and previous experimentation logs regarding SCP-XXXX should or have been moved to Experimentation Log XXXX.” -Dr. C████

| Experiment-XXXX-A |
SCP-XXXX is left in a room with a ███████ Computer from 5 PM to 9 AM EST. The computer contains 4 USB ports, 2 PS/2 ports, 1 ethernet port, 1 HDMI port and 2 AUX ports with each port having a compatible device plugged in. |
SCP-XXXX has plugged itself into the first PS/2 port. Whereabouts of the device previously in the first PS/2 port is unknown. |
SCP-XXX1 has the ability to "dispose" of other devices; the way it accomplishes this task is unknown. |
| Experiment-XXXX-B |
SCP-XXXX is left in a room with a ███████ Computer from 5 PM to 9 AM EST. The computer contains 3 USB Ports, 1 HDMI Port, 1 ethernet port, and 1 AUX port. Each port has a corresponding device plugged in with the exception of the HDMI port. |
SCP-XXXX has plugged itself into the HDMI port and functions normally. |
No matter what port SCP-XXXX connects to, it will always function as it would if plugged into a PS/2 Port. |
| Experiment-XXXX-C |
SCP-XXXX is put inside a reinforced metal safe and left in a room with a ███████ Computer from 5 PM to 9 AM EST. The computer contains 2 USB ports, 1 PS/2 port, 1 ethernet port, 1 HDMI port, and 1 AUX port. |
SCP-XXXX has plugged itself into the PS/2 port. The safe SCP-XXXX was contained in is still locked and has no signs of damage. |
SCP-XXXX can relocate itself despite being enclosed in a normally inescapable containment area. |
Experiment-XXXX-D:
Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be plugged into a ███████ Computer that has downloaded a typing program created by the Foundation. D-71096 will be instructed to type using SCP-XXXX until told to stop. Before testing, D-71096 is to be given standard foundation painkillers to suppress the effects of SCP-XXXX.
Transcription of audio log:

[Subject D-71096 enters the testing cell.]
Dr. G███████: "Hello, please sit down at the computer at the center of the room."
[Subject walks over to the computer and sits down, he puts his hands down on SCP-XXXX.]
Dr. G███████: "Thank you. Now proceed to open the program on the desktop called ‘SCP Typing’."
Subject D-71096: "What is this? Elementary school?”
Dr. G███████: "I said, open the program called ‘SCP Typing’.”
Subject D-71096: "Geez doc, can’t you take a joke?”
[Subject proceeds to open the program and stare at the string of randomly generated text]
Dr. G███████: "Alright. Proceed to type the text shown on screen, report if you feel any amount of pain or numbness in the hands or wrists.”
Subject D-71096: "I got it, doc.”
[Subject begins to type using SCP-XXXX.]
[5:43]
[Subject stops typing using SCP-XXXX.]
Subject D-71096: "How long did you say I have to type again?”
Dr. G███████: "Until you are told to stop typing."
Subject D-71096: "Well, I hope that’s soon ‘cus this is boring as hell.”
[Subject begins to start typing again using SCP-XXXX.]
[24:57]
[Subject stops typing using SCP-XXXX and starts to shake his hands vigorously back and forth.]
Subject D-71096: "Doc, I think this boring ass typin’ is makin’ my fingers all funny.”
Dr. G███████: "Please Elaborate."
Subject D-71096: "Like.. they’re all tingly inside.”
Dr. G███████: "That is perfectly normal, please continue typing."
Subject D-71096: "If you say so doc…”
[Subject begins to start typing again at a slower rate.]
