SCP-5046 in a scrapyard.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5046 is to be kept in an area no smaller than 20,000 Sq Ft. The area should be filled at all times with an abundance of dilapidated cars, scrap metals, and refuge to closely resemble SCP-5046's native habitat and keep it docile.

The area should be surrounded by durable plexiglass to allow for monitoring of SCP-5046 while also keeping it contained safely within. Should any notable damage to the perimeter be observed SCP-5046 must be sedated via methods outlined below and any damage must be repaired before SCP-5046 is allowed to wander the area freely again.

No personnel below Level 3 are permitted to enter the area at any time. Any personnel authorized to enter must adhere to strict guidelines:

1: Personnel must not attempt to touch SCP-5046 in any way.

2: No item within SCP-5046's area must be disturbed.

3: If SCP-5046 appears to become hostile or agitated, it must be sedated immediately to prevent damage to the perimeter or physical harm to any personnel.

Description: SCP-5046 is a small quadrupedal organism that most closely resembles a common house cat. The main differences being three notable prehensile appendages, a body that appears to be made of some form of shadowy material, and a lack of any eyes or a mouth. SCP-5046 is commonly seen hanging around scrap yards where it will interact playfully with any nearby humans. The means in which SCP-5046 arrives at a new scrap yard are currently unknown. Any other animals that reside in the scrap yard seem to disappear upon SCP-5046's arrival. Due to it's apparent lack of any kind of mouth, SCP-5046 is incapable of any form of vocalization.

SCP-5046 is generally harmless and seems to display a playful and lethargic demeanor, only becoming a danger when it becomes agitated or enraged. SCP-5046 can become agitated for seemingly any reason (See addendum 5046.1) but it seems that a few actions will cause an instant response. Any person attempting to forcibly remove SCP-5046 or any of the scrap from the premises will instantly cause it to become enraged.

Shortly after becoming enraged SCP-5046 will undergo a metamorphosis, becoming an instance of SCP-5046A. SCP-5046A has many of the same features of SCP-5046 with the exception of becoming bipedal as well as becoming much larger and more aggressive.

SCP-5046A will attack any humans it comes in contact with, preferring to pin them down and rip them apart with it's now much larger claws. SCP-5046A will continue it's rampage until it calms down on it's own or when sedated, at which point it will fall unconscious and gradually morph back into SCP-5046.

Addendum 5046.1: Aside from the known triggers it seems that SCP-5046 has somewhat of a fickle temperament. While usually quite docile it has shown signs of becoming agitated and aggressive almost at random.
