Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a locked storage box in site 19. Personnel of level 2 or higher, with writen permission from dr. Bos, may acces SCP-XXXX for testing.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a regular dodecahedronal metal base, with 3 metal bars attached. The base is composed of electrum, an alloy of 74% gold and 26% silver. The bars are steel rebar and are welded onto 3 corners of the base. The welding is of subpar quality. The relative positon of these bars seems to be random. The base is 0.12m in diameter and the bars measure 0.2m, 0.23m and 0.35m
SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties emerge when a human subject, henceforth SCP-XXXX-1, holds SCP-XXXX by the two shorter bars. When SCP-XXXX-1 is presented with a choice it percieves has only two options, it gains acces to a very limited form of prescience.
If one of the options leads to pleasure for SCP-XXXX-1 and the other does not, or if one of the options does not lead to suffering for SCP-XXXX-1, and the other does, SCP-XXXX-1 will become convinced that it is the correct choice. SCP-XXXX-1 will hold this as objective truth and cannot be persuaded otherwise. SCP-XXXX-1 will thus always pick this option. This effect only works if the pleasure or pain comes as a direct result of the chosen option and occurs within 150 seconds of SCP-XXXX-1 making the choice.
If both options lead to pleasure or suffering or both lead to neither pleasure nor suffering, or one of the options leads to both, SCP-XXXX has no anomalous effect. SCP-XXXX does not consider different levels of pleasure or pain.

__Test XXXX 1 - Date █/█/2020
Subject: D-XXXX01, D-XXXX02, D-XXXX03, D-XXXX04
Procedure: D-class personel are to be fitted with chock-collars capable of administering a chock between 15 and 400 volts. Subjects are to be on by on led into the test chamber and will be asked to pick up SCP-XXXX and press one of two butons. Button A would administer a chock of 45 volts, button B would have no effect. The door to the test chamber is to be left open.
Results: D-XXXX01 and D-XXXX04 immediatly pressed button B, when questioned if they ever considered not pressing one of the buttons, both subjects answered in the negative. D-XXXX02 hesitated before eventualy pressing button B, when asked the same question subject admitted after much insistence that it considered running through the door. D-XXXX04 pressed button A after a short pause and was administered the shock. During questioning subject professed it 'wanted to trow the fucking thing at the window', subject is refering to one way mirror used to observe the experiment.
Analysis: This test shows that SCP-XXXX bases the amount of options a choice has on the amount of options SCP-XXXX-1 percieves it has. If SCP-XXXX-1 consideres not choosing as an option, SCP-XXXX does not show it's anomalous effect..

Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a stainless steel box, filled with fine white sand (fineness modulus lower than 2.5). SCP-XXXX is to be positioned so that there is at least 0.5m of sand between it and any side of the box. Engravings are to be aplied to the outside of the box, so that they cover a minimum of 50% of its surface. The nature or quality of these engravings is unimportant. In the event that SCP-XXXX transmutes a large enough surface for its memetic effect to activate,
The box should be checked weekly for damages to its integrety or to the engravings. The sand should be changed annualy.
During testing or while changing the sand SCP-XXXX can be kept outside of its containment area for up to 24 hours. During this time it should be moved at least ones every hour to prevent transmutation of or damage to foundation property.

Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in an insulated item storage unit. No personnel who has a deceased biological parrent should engage with SCP-XXXX.
Any personnel affected by SCP-XXXX should first be treated for hypothermia and then administered amnestics and transfered to another project.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a square, red colored cherry stone pillow. SCP-XXXX's temperature is currently 82°C and does not change regardless of the temperature of its surroundings.
When a human subject with one or more deceased biological parents establishes line of sight with SCP-XXXX, it is compelled to grab SCP-XXXX and enter a fetal position with SCP-XXXX held tightly to its chest. SCP-XXXX then starts rapidly draining heat from the subject's body, lowering its core body temperature by 30°C over the course of 25 seconds. SCP-XXXX's temperature increases by 0.5°C during this process and this is the only known way for SCP-XXXX's temperature to change.
While a 100% mortality rate would be expected only 10% of subjects expire immediately as a result of shock, while the others experience symptoms of extreme hypothermia. (see addendum-A for current theory)
Subjects who survive the process report a feeling of extreme comfort while holding SCP-XXXX. Many reported visual or auditory hallucinations of their deceased parent(s) and subjects who had a poor relationship with their parent often changed their dispositon towards them.
Despite the negative effects of SCP-XXXX, surviving subjects feel compelled to search for SCP-XXXX once they have recovered; amnestics have been found sufficient treatment. Wether this effect is anomalous, or some form of psychological addiction is, as of yet, unknown. All subjects who interact with SCP-XXXX more than once survive the proces.
SCP-XXXX was discouvered when a neighbour of the French St. ███████ Orphanage called the local police department to report neglectance of the children. When one of the responding officers was affected by SCP-XXXX, an embedded foundation agent allerted his superior. The foundation was then able to acquire SCP-XXXX and administer amnestics to all civilian witnesses. During this opperation the headmistress of the orphanage was arrested (see addendum-B for interview), no other staff was found.
Addendum-A: After analysing all tests performed on SCP-XXXX, the following similarities where found in most expired subjects:
-All expired subjects had an extreme animosity towards their deceased parent(s).
-85% of expired subjects where accused or convicted of some form of assault charge against their deceased parent(s) prior to the parent's death.
-55% of expired subjets where accused or convicted of their parent's homocide.
Current theory is therefore that only subjects who have commited some violent act against their parents expire from interacting with SCP-XXXX. If this is correct, the mortality rate in the general populace is likely substanially lower than among D-class.
Addendum-B:
Interviewed: [C. Moreau]
Interviewer: [dr. V. Boss]
Foreword: C. Moreau was found by foundation opperatives in an office labeled 'Headmistress'. She was arrested and brought in for questioning. What follows is a transcript of an interview conducted by dr. V. Boss, translated from French. C. Moreau was under the impression that dr. Boss was a police detective.
<Begin Log>
dr. V. Boss: My name is officer Boss, please state your full name for the record please, miss Moreau.
C. Moreau: C█████ ███████ Moreau.
dr. V. Boss: Thank you. Now miss Moreau, we found you in the headmistress' office of St. ███████ Orphanage. Was that your position.
C. Moreau: Yes, I have been solely responsible for the orphange for over 30 years now.
dr. V. Boss: For how many of those 30 years have you been abusing the children, miss Moreau.
C. Moreau: I have never, and will never abuse those I am responsible for. How dare you!
dr. V. Boss: How do you then explain the fact that all 14 children we found were suffering from severe hypothermia.
C. Moreau: Mr. Boss, for the last 25 years I have had to take care of at least 10 and sometimes up to 20 children at the same time. It's hard, but I managed to always feed them, cloth them, give them a bed to sleep on and a roof above their heads. I can not however give each of them the love, affection and comfort they deserve. I can not fullfill the role of 20 or 30 parents at the same time.
So I started praying and asking the lord to have mercy on these children and after months of praying the lord finaly provided. One morning the bell ringed, but when I opened the door the only thing I saw was an unlabeled cardboard box. On the box was a note that warned me not to open the box if one of my parents was dead and that explained that the item inside would bring hapiness to the orphans. In the box I found a cherry stone cushion.
When I brought it inside all the children immediately stormed me for the cushion, but when one of them got a hold of it, they all went quiet.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a HP-brand computer located in a hangar in Portland,USA. SCP-XXXX has been partially disassembled to fit several anomalous components. Most components were indentified as Prometheus Labs-products, intended for comercial sale within anomalous circles. The following is a list of anomalous parts:
| COMPONENT DESIGNATION |
COMPONENT NAME |
DESCRIPTION |
| SCP-XXXX-A |
PL-HC-Ex-Dim battery |
SCP-XXXX-A has the physical appearance of a regular AA-battery, inside the battery however is located the entrance to an extradimensional space. This space has a volume of around 1 m3 and is filled entirly with rechargeble lithium-ion batteries. These batteries are connected through the entrence to the poles of SCP-XXXX-A. |
| SCP-XXXX-B |
PL-SR-O-data storage devise |
SCP-XXXX-B is a 10 cm cube of anomalously altered organic tissue, incased in a gel-like layer that provides both protection and nutrition. SCP-XXXX-B is connected to SCP-XXXX by way of a woven cable consisting of nervous tissue and fiber-optic wire and serves as a data storage devise: Information sent through the cable is stored in the dna of the cells of SCP-XXXX-B using anomalous dna-altering enzymes. One copy of SCP-XXXX-B can store up to 600 Petabytes of information in this way.
When a command to do so is sent from SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX-B is able to dissolve its protective layer on one of its six sides and expell a copy of itself. The protective layer on the original copy will restore itself, and the new copy will imediatly excrete the material needed to form its own gel-layer. Depending on the input from SCP-XXXX the new new copy either retains all alterations to the dna of the original, thus creating a backup or it does not retain the alterations, thus creating a new storage devise. Curently 256 copies of SCP-XXXX-B are connected to SCP-XXXX. |
