Special Containment Procedures: Due to SCP-XXXX’s peaceful behavior, it is allowed to move around the facility. If the event of a containment breach occurs, it is to be moved to a temporary holding cell until said otherwise.

SCP-XXXX is sealed in a 10cm glass case, that is covered in layers of soundproof metal. This case is to be inspected weekly for any signs of damage.

Further interactions with SCP-XXXX is extremely prohibited. Any unauthorized tests preformed by staff will result in termination.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an adult monarch butterfly (Danus plexippus) that measures 12 inches long. The abdomen contains a gel-like substance that coats the entirety of it’s physical structure. If an individual is within the proximity of SCP-XXXX while it is hungry, it will demand for sustenance in a high-pitched voice. It’s method of speech is currently unknown, however it has been demonstrated to be fluently bilingual to others. In some cases, SCP-XXXX will start conversations towards members of the Foundation, including researchers and security personnel. How it gained intelligence is currently being studied.

Consumption of standard foods has been reported to last around 2 to 3 hours, however larger food items can take around 6 to 7 hours.

It is to be noted that SCP-XXXX can also drink beverages, however this usually results in a longer digestion period, estimated to last almost 10 hours.

Kicking The Bucket

Description: SCP-XXXX manifests as a rusty bucket, with varying signs of corrosion and degradation.

Whenever a subject is within proximity of SCP-XXXX, they will have the desire to kick the bucket.

Once a subject kicks the bucket, any afflicted injuries or wounds will heal up in 5 seconds.

Addendum XXXX-1: SCP-XXXX appears to share similar properties with SCP-020-J, although inconsistent in appearance. Attempts to pinpoint their similar origins is currently ongoing.

Addendum XXXX-2: Whenever a person lifts SCP-XXXX with their hands, they will not be affected by it’s memetic powers. However, they will be compelled to kick it if the person is carrying SCP-XXXX for more than 3 hours.
