Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is self contained within the 100 acre birch forest it was discovered in, as it has been deemed a waste of foundation resources to remove it from the location. A barbed wire fence has been installed 50 meters away from the edge of the forest to keep out trespassers. The forest is to be prevented from expanding by monthly maintenance of the forests edge.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a 3 meter tall humanoid with flesh akin to Betula papyrifera, (American white birch trees,) though flexible like muscle and other soft flesh instead of the normal structural makeup normal wood. SCP-XXXX’s oral orifice is normally sealed shut, except when SCP-XXXX is attempting to attack something. When attacking, SCP-XXXX’s “mouth” opens by the flesh where the mouth would be changing to a slime or goop-like consistency and the jaw opening. Once the jaw opens, SCP-XXXX is capable of creating a high-powered beam of energy with a low Hume level radiation from it. This beam is incredibly destructive to any kind of organism of the Animalia kingdom. Intriguingly, the beam not only doesn’t harm plants, or most kinds of fungi. SCP-XXXX is capable of communicating telepathically, as it is not capable of normal vocalizing. SCP-XXXX is occasionally cooperative with particular individuals with interest in ‘protecting the environment’ and such alignments, though often is, to quote one researcher, “a vain and self-important asshole.”
