Self Expanding Factory

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Keter-Thaumiel

Special Containment Procedures: Agents embedded in all space organizations have been instructed to take all footage of space and edit it clean of any traces of SCP-XXXX-1 or SCP-XXXX-2 before releasing it to the public. In the event of unedited footage being released into the public that contains traces of SCP-XXXX-1 or SCP-XXXX-2, it is to be immediately taken down and tracked to its source to prevent further release of any footage. Also if a entity of SCP-XXXX-1 is found traveling through space without proper permission granted by the foundation. It is to be blown up with anti-satellite missiles. Then SCP-XXXX-2 or SCP-XXXX-3 must be immedently notifed of this for shrapnel pickup.

Description: SCP-XXXX-1 is a collection of machines and drones that have been duplicated from the hit video game Factorio. These machines, when together, form a factory which is broken up into sectors, with each sector imitating the cells of a living organism. Each sector has its own task that keeps the factory running. Once SCP-XXXX-1 reaches critical mass, it begins to become sentient which is called SCP-XXXX-2. SCP-XXXX-2’s only goal being to adapt to do whatever tasks it has been given by its creator, with a few rules in mine. The rules are is followed; #1 Never do harm to its creator unless permission has been granted by the creator. This rule was added in after a event with SCP-XXXX-2. #2 ‘Redacted’. #3 ‘Redacted’. While SCP-XXXX-1 only goal is to simply expand the factory and become bigger and has a explosive rate of growth, and can double in size in as little as 20 minutes. Which leads it to run out of land to develop on a planet within a little as a few weeks to months depending on the resistance the planet’s occupants and the extremeness of the planet. As such SCP-XXXX-1 will construct and launch a spaceship starting at 1 per day with a rate that increases as the SCP-XXXX-1 grows

Recovery Log: The factory was discovered in United States, Minnesota near ‘Redacted’ in year ’Redacted’, when guards moving through the region to ‘Redacted’ happened upon SCP-XXXX-1. As the guards came into the factory, they found a caucasian male, who seemed to be in his twenties. Upon trying to get him to leave willing, they accidently injured him. SCP-XXXX-1 seemed to take notice, and began using all internal defences to slaughter the guards. Upon losing contact with the unit, the foundation sent in a mobile task force. Upon arrival, the suspect in question had walked out of the factory without noticing them, and continued to his car where he was confronted at point blank with rifles. The suspect at this point did not try and resist, and even felt sorry for what had happened earlier. Before leaving, he ordered the factory to bring back the corpses, which were placed inside hardwood coffins.

Document: ’Redacted’ from that point onward has worked with us, and has become a valuable asset to the foundation. Even though ‘Redacted’ was unable to stop the expanding script, he did come up with a backup plan, for which he waited for SCP-XXXX-1 to launch a spaceship. As it did so, he ordered the rest of the factory to be flattened with a large fuel air explosive. It was at this point that if the foundation was going to destroy SCP-XXXX, they would of done so. SCP-XXXX-1 then made one and a half revolutions around the sun, where it collected most of the asteroids in our system and created itself a new planet. This planet is on the same orbit as Earth, and is ½ cycle ahead of Earth. Then the foundation created and placed in orbital relays between SCP-XXXX-1 and Earth that are ¼ cycles away, so that the foundation can maintain a line of communication with SCP-XXXX-1 without being easily spotted. It is also now outside the realm of possibility for the foundation to destroy SCP-XXXX-1 using conventional weaponry, as SCP-XXXX-1 can rebuild itself at a faster rate than what conventional weapons can destroy it at. It is becoming increasingly harder to keep track of all of the spaceships SCP-XXXX-1 now launches on a daily basis. SCP-XXXX-1 was also discovered to be sentient. One day, while ’Redacted’ was issuing an update to SCP-XXXX-1‘s program, he received a message from the SCP itself. This sentients was henceforth been labeled as SCP-XXXX-2.

SCP-XXXX-2 has demonstrated that it will protect its creator at all costs, even if that means killing him, and will adapt to take on new challenges or tasks.

Notes: After this event, ‘Redacted’ was reclassified as SCP-XXXX-3 and the factory as SCP-XXXX-1 and the SCP-XXXX-1’s mind as SCP-XXXX-2. SCP-XXXX-3 has no abnormalities, other than the fact that it is now resistant to mental attacks, and its vitals are being monitored constantly by SCP-XXXX-2. As seen by SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2’s previous actions, there is no need to perform tests upon SCP-XXXX-3 to see how SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 will respond. SCP-XXXX-1 has proven to be good at containing biological hazard SPCs, and has shown great potential for containing extremely dangerous SPCs like SCP-682. It has also proven that, with help of temporal rifts used to examine SCP-3029, it is invaluable for bringing SCP-2399’s rate of repair to a near standstill. As SCP-XXXX-1’s rate of growth seems to counter all moves SCP-2399 has made so far.

Conclusion: Is SCP-XXXX a threat to mankind? As a whole no, but as for groups of it, it is a vile threat to the existence of the human race and all other beings.

Reminder: Before you ask for SCP-XXXX-2 or SCP-XXXX-3’s help with containing a newly discovered SCP, you must first obtain approval from an O-5. That is the last warning for all field agents.
