Item #: SCP-3406
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-3406 is to be housed in a hermetically seal room kept at room temperature in a geologically stable location. Guards are to be posted at the entrance to ensure that there is no unauthorized tampering with SCP-3406 and cameras are to be installed in the containment room to monitor any changes in SCP-3406. A team specialized in architecture and pattern identification is to be assigned to monitor SCP-3406 to determine if it chooses its form for a purpose or if it does so randomly.
Description:
SCP-3406 is a shapeshifting child’s doll house complete with miniature furniture and dolls (referred to as instances of SCP-3406-A. The anomaly can remodel itself into a seemingly limitless variety of miniature houses including an English medieval castle, a 21st century American apartment, and a yurt. Instances of SCP-3406-A are capable of moving of their own accord and can frequently be seen moving around the house in a daily routine. Removing an instance of SCP-3406-A from SCP-3406 results in the doll violently shaking before it ceases all movement. Replacing an instance of SCP-3406 after removing it does not reverse this effect. Other tests involving instances of SCP-3406-A have been conducted to explore the possibility of sentience in these dolls. Removal of limbs results in an instance of SCP-3406-A to stumble throughout SCP-3406 before collapsing and ceasing all movement. Restraining instances of SCP-3406-A result in them flailing their limbs until they are released, after which they deviate from their routines. Submerging instances of SCP-3406-A in any form of liquid results in them flailing their limbs for anywhere from 25 seconds to a minute before all movement ceases.
After incident 001 all experiments regarding instances of SCP-3406-A are to be halted.
After an investigation following incident 001 it was discovered that every previous iteration of SCP-3406 had been a complete copy of real world domiciles including inhabitants and furniture. Furthermore, any actions performed to instances of SCP-3406-A seem to be reflected in their real life counterparts. Site Director (redacted) has decided to allow payments of (redacted) to families and victims effected by experiments conducted on SCP-3406 by SCP staff. These payments are to be a one-time transaction and are to be given under the guise of various field agents acting as wealthy philanthropists.
Addendum 3406-001
SCP-3406 has been changed from Safe to Euclid after incident 001.
Addendum 3406-002
After incident 002 SCP-3406 will be transferred to a more geologically stable location and its containment unit will be upgraded to be hermetically sealed.
Incident Report 001
After SCP-3406 shifted its form again researchers decided to dismantle several instances of SCP-3406-A to determine if there was anything anomalous inside of it. The following day (redacted), a class C researcher and several civilians were found in their apartments completely dismembered. It was then discovered that SCP-3406 had remodeled itself into an exact copy of (redacted)’s apartment complex. It is advised that we investigate the possibility of SCP-3406 having a physical link to real world locations and people.
Incident Report 002
SCP-3406 was knocked over after an earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale affected the area. News reports in (Redacted) the following day reported that the Skyscraper SCP-3406 had modeled itself after, had collapsed for seemingly no reason. An estimated (redacted) civilians were declared dead and thousands were left wounded. Head researcher -- has decided to transfer SCP-3406 to a more geologically stable location. Additionally, to avoid any further environmental hazards the containment unit will be upgraded to account for any additional risks. The containment procedures will be updated to reflect this
