-Swap out the tape, the music has to be thematic for the task at hand.
-Oh shit what if the bag is the SCP

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be held in a secure storage locker on Site-54, zipped completely, with SCP-XXXX-A in side pocket. SCP-XXXX-A is to be stored without batteries to prevent corrosion. Due to potential use in instigating a containment breach, testing must be approved by Site Director.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a black leather bag meant to hold cassette tapes, with an embroidered patch sewn onto its side displaying the phrase “Father Time’s Funk Machine”. Contained within the side pocket of the bag is a personal cassette player resembling a Sony Walkman TPS-L2, referred to as SCP-XXXX-A.

Opening the main storage compartment of SCP-XXXX reveals a selection of 15 cassette singles, considered SCP-XXXX-B instances. Instances generated depend on the mood, taste in music, and immediate goals of the person opening the bag. The selection will remain for as long as the compartment is left open, and will be regenerated after the compartment is completely closed. The selection can include songs known to have never been released as a cassette single, and will be drawn from the entirety of humanity's musical canon. This ranges from songs released to digital media services seconds before the bag is opened, to sounds of rocks being beaten with sticks in a rhythmic fashion, presumed to be examples of prehistoric music.

Disassembly has revealed SCP-XXXX-A to be indistinguishable from a non-anomalous cassette player of similar make. Despite this, SCP-XXXX-A will only play cassettes generated by SCP-XXXX, and SCP-XXXX-B instances will not play in devices other than SCP-XXXX-A. Tapestrips extracted from SCP-XXXX-B instances appear to be written in a manner inconsistent with magnetic polarization seen in non-anomalous cassettes. Research into the method in which information is written to SCP-XXXX-B instances is ongoing.

The anomalous properties or SCP-XXXX arise when headphones or similar are connected to a 3.5mm jack found on SCP-XXXX-A and an SCP-XXXX-B instance is inserted and played. While the song on the instance is playing, the listener, known as SCP-XXXX-C for the duration of playback, becomes unable to be impeded in accomplishing a task or achieving a goal. The listener is granted superhuman luck, with events befalling them invariably ending in their favor. Actions performed by SCP-XXXX-C display a high degree of coordination and ability, even if the listener ordinarily lacks the strength or experience necessary to do so. Movements made by SCP-XXXX-C during playback are performed rhythmically in-time with the song being played, and are generally accompanied by various flourishes and poses. This is consistent regardless of the complexity of the task performed. Listeners report that during playback, they remain lucid yet not entirely in control of their actions, with many claiming to be overtaken by the "rhythm", "beat", "groove", or similar.

After the conclusion of the song, the SCP-XXXX-B instance will rapidly disintegrate, and SCP-XXXX-C loses all anomalous luck and coordination. Depending on the intensity of actions performed during playback, listeners report fatigue and muscle soreness consistent with their level of physical conditioning. Halting playback prematurely in any manner, including attempting to rewind the tape, counts as concluding playback. Once an instance of SCP-XXXX-B is disintegrated, it will not appear inside SCP-XXXX for approximately one week.
