Item #: SCP-5889
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: The original location of SCP-5889 has been expunged from nautical and satellite mapping by Foundation personnel. Any further attempts at cataloguing its location are to be prevented by Foundation personnel. A base has been set at Cape Dyer, Nunavut, Canada to prevent any further civilian contact with SCP-5889 original location. The front piece of SCP-5889 has been extracted and relocated to Site ██ for further studies.
Description: SCP-5889 is a substantially altered pipe organ that was formerly located in a submerged facility at 66º██████N, 61º██████W, at approximately 500 meters deep in the Arctic sea. The musical instrument is divided into two main sections: a front piece (measuring 3 meters high, 6.5 meters wide and 8 meters in depth) and a posterior piece (measuring [REDACTED]). The front piece consists of a 61-note pipe organ made primarily of osseous and cartilaginous material of human origin. The posterior part of SCP-5889 is comprised of a metal chamber where humans (believed to be alive) were to be stored. This chamber would lead to several entrances, each leading to 61 metallic tubes measuring 3 meters wide and containing an individual industrial meat grinder at its end, each at a height lower than the next. This tubulation system has been measured to reach more than 500 meters deep below sea level.
Upon further inspection at the site, it is estimated that SCP-5889's purpose was to generate music notes by the sound of human subjects inserted into the piping system. Judging by religious iconography found, it is believed to be of ██████ origin.
Addendum-5889-1: At 18/06/██, there has been an incident where a vessel containing 12 █████████ followers was found trying to reach SCP-5889's location and has been detained by Foundation personnel. Individuals refused to give information about their intentions but one was of them has been seen sobbing the words "We just wanted to sing" repeatedly. All 12 have been detained at Site ██ for further questioning
