Item #: SCP-5974
Object Class: Safe
Containment: SCP-7974-1 should be kept in a 10-inch x 10-inch x 4-inch metal box in located in protected storage wing L-03 of Site 28. Anytime SCP-7974-1 is removed from its container, it should be documented and logged. Only high-class personnel may retrieve SCP-7974-1 from its container. and it should not be blown into unless needed for testing.
Description: SCP-5974-1 resembles a silver dog whistle on a frayed string. While not inherently dangerous and hard to contain, it's what it summons that is a different story. Found in an abandoned house located in the town of ██████, ████████, it was found around the neck of a deceased boy identified as ███████ ██████. Upon delivery to the containment facility, immediate testing was conducted.
Results varied in the outcomes when tested on class d personnel. When blown, no noise is released. Upon blowing the whistle, SCP-5974-2 is summoned. Tests have shown that SCP-5974-2 is only visible to the person who blew the whistle. SCP-5974-2 has 2 forms, SCP-5974-2-A and SCP-7974-2-B.
SCP-5974-2-A: Results show that SCP-5974-2-A’s form is different for everyone who sees it. When seen, the viewer experiences deep emotions of happiness and comfort. Its form is usually someone who is important in the viewer's life, note that it isn't the actual person, however, it will replicate the memories and act like the person. In one instance, a subject was shown hugging the air, when asked what he was hugging, he said it was his mother. Upon further research, it was revealed that his mother died 12 yrs ago from Alzheimer's. SCP-5974-2-A usually stays for around 30 minutes, or until the viewer is ready to part ways. After leaving, the viewer is seen to be sad, but also calm.
SCP-7974-2-B: SCP-7974-2-B’s form is consistent for all that see it. Described as a doctor with thick goggles and a mask, SCP-7974-2-B will appear in the viewers' sightline. When summoned, SCP-7974-2-B will slowly approach the viewer until face to face with it. It is said that SCP-7974-2-B takes off his goggles and will stare into the eyes of the viewer. The viewer will then feel deep sadness and regret a past mistake. No matter how minor. SCP-7974-2-B is then said to take off his mask, and “suck out” the life of the viewer. However, this is all speculation, as no one is said to have survived viewing SCP-7974-2-B
Audio Log of Experiment #12:
Dr. ████████: Ok do you see the whistle in front of you?
Martin ██████: Uhm, yeah. Do I blow it?
Dr. ████████: Yes if you could.
Martin ██████: Hey, I think this whistle is busted, I don't hear anything. Wait a minute, who are you?
Dr. ████████: Who are you talking to?
Martin ██████: Cant you see him, he's walking towards me. What do you want?
Dr. ████████: Has anything changed Martin?
Martin ██████: No, no, it wasn't my fault. I didn't do it alright, I'm sorry.
Dr. ████████: What are you talking about.
Martin ██████: Please no, I said I was sorry, I didn't mean it, please forgive me.
End of Log
After the experiment, when examined, Martin had died of shock.
Even after testing, it is still not known when you will encounter either form, as there is no pattern in sightings. Therefore SCP-7974-1 should be stored in and not removed from its box until needed for testing. Further testing is needed to find out why different forms of SCP-7974-2 are summoned.
