Item #: SCP-5XXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5XXX must be contained in a standard lead containment vault with two guards stationed outside. Access must be denied to anything coming in or out of the containment zone without explicit permission from the site director of the current containment site. SCP-5XXX must not be allowed to have any damage inflicted upon it and measures must be taken at all times to prevent any natural or unnatural occurrences that may tilt, shake, or damage the box in any way.
Any and all instances of SCP-5XXX must be kept away from every other on-site anomaly. SCP-5XXX's containment boxes are to be soundproofed to prevent any living creature or SCP from hearing it. If SCP-5XXX is heard then anyone that could have heard it or did hear it should be treated with Class B amnestics.
In the event of an SCP-5XXX being spotted outside of an SCP site, MTF unit Eta-11 is to be sent out to recover it under protocol 43a43 which involves carefully removing of the tentacles, along with the main embryo, from the walls and placed into an SCP-5XXX travel container under design 5XXX-B-1 to keep the anomaly alive.
Description: SCP-5XXX has three phases, these phases range from SCP-5XXX-A to SCP-5XXX-C. These phases detail how SCP-5XXX forms. SCP-5XXX-A is the first phase and it is almost impossible to predict who it will occur in.
SCP-5XXX, in phase SCP-5XXX-C, is a large embryo-shaped creature. It has no discernable flesh instead it is covered in red fatty tissue and muscle tissue. SCP-5XXX-C appears as a foetus, curled into the fetal position. O- blood, oozes infrequently off of SCP-5XXX-C and is an excretion by SCP-5XXX out of the pores in its outer layer. It has long tentacles that are cylindrical in shape and sticky to touch with bare hands. Lubricant is advised if a study of the tentacles is to occur. These tentacles are used by SCP-5XXX-B outstretch the reach of SCP-5XXX and to support its position in a room.
SCP-5XXX-A is a shift in the personality of a civilian human as it doesn't take form in every civilian that is possible to create an SCP-5XXX. The criteria for the appearance of an SCP-5XXX-A shift is as follows:
- The civilian must be a single mother
- The mother must have lost their child
- The mother must have tried and failed in any way to gain another child through any means
- The mother must have underlying cardiac or cerebellum issues
- The mother must have had a traumatic experience in their past before they lost their child.
If a human civilian fits these criteria there is a chance of SCP-5XXX-A developing from said civilian.
SCP-5XXX-A is near undetectable as it hides behind impulses it sends to the civilian's brain that are often mistakenly diagnosed as schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, and/or suicidal tendencies.
If SCP-5XXX-A is left uncontained and the civilian not alerted to its presence, it will continue to develop into SCP-5XXX-B. This is the form of SCP-5XXX that is the most vulnerable to outside causes and is the final phase of SCP-5XXX that can be retrieved from anywhere outside of the facility without termination.
SCP-5XXX-B is a cocoon-like object, the civilian will have appeared to shed its skin and it's internal organs seem to form together to act as one large organ. This means that it is vulnerable to damage as it does not have any protection layers such as its skin or its hair. It is red and fleshy while looking smooth, shaped like a .50 calibre bullet.
