Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX must be kept in a room that would ensure that the object is at least 10 meters away from any mechanisms. Ideal room, in which the object is currently contained, is a cubic chamber with the side of 10 meters and a 5 meters pillar, with a with a metal ladder on the side of it, in the center of the room with the object on top of the pillar. Additional container for the object is unneeded, but if considered, should not contain any mechanical parts.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a broken pocket clockwork watch with no identifying markings aside from words ″Chronometre Ruby″ on the upper part of clock face. The object is about 4.5 centimeters in diameter, 5.3 centimeters with a winding pin, and is 1.2 centimeters thick at the thickest point. Outer metalic parts are made of brass and have multiple signs of wear and dark spots of corrosion. The clock face is presumably made of brass, and is covered in thin layer of silver and has additional clock face for seconds on the lower part. Characteristic circular attritions under the clock hands led to believe that SCP-XXXX was working at some point. Black numbers on the clock face are written in cursive. Clock hands show 5:49. The glass panel is a convex with a slightly uneven shape. Style and condition are reminiscent of a pocket watch from 1920-1950.
The object affects mechanism in a 5 meter radius. SCP-XXXX gradually reduces the efficency of the machinery the closer it gets untill the object fully halts mechanisms at about 2.5 meters radius due to the parts of the machinery fusing together. The effect will continue as long as the machine is in a close proximity to the object. Fused parts of the machinery show no abnormal properties and can be separated by any mean effective for the material of the parts.Experiments showed that The SCP-XXXX is suffering from the same condition it causes.
