Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: While an SCP-XXXX incident has not occurred within ███ days, Foundation Web-Crawlers are to scan popular social media platforms, along with www.██████.com, and www.█████.org. Any instances found are to be removed via Foundation associated contacts in the administration, or with MTF Mu-4 "Debuggers." All instances should not be viewed without proper SCRAMBLE equipment (modified for common visual and cognito hazards.) Any leads on POI-3892 "redtheF0x" of GOI "Gamers Against Weed" should be investigated after approval from any personnel of clearance level 4 or higher.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an anomalous image, suspected to originate from POI-3892. SCP-XXXX's effect occurs when a subject views it directly, either through a screen or projected image. The effects do not transfer when printed to any variety of paper. SCP-XXXX's effect is dependent on it's position relative to the torso of the viewer.

If SCP-XXXX is above the subjects torso, effect SCP-XXXX-a will occur, where a "rift" or one way "portal," designated a way, will open above the subject. An incorporeal hand, (It will become corporeal when in contact with a human.) designated SCP-XXXX-1 will extend from the way and attempt to pull the subject up so the SCP-XXXX instance will be below the torso of the subject. After approximately 10 seconds, SCP-XXXX-1 will cease attempts to move the subject, and retract back into it's way. Note: SCP-XXXX-1 will always be attached to the way at its upper arm region.

If SCP-XXXX is below the subjects torso, or if SCP-XXXX-1 is successful in causing the subject to be above SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX-b will occur: A way will open near the subjects scapular/brachial region, and an SCP-XXXX-1 instance will emerge, ranging in size from 0.3 to ███.██ meters long. SCP-XXXX-1 will then attempt to strike the subject upon the shoulder, with varying amounts of force. The force appears to be dependent on the number of previous SCP-XXXX-b incidents that occurred on the subject, with them becoming more forceful with more incidents. (See Addendum-XXXX-02) After striking the subject, SCP-XXXX-1 will retract back into the way. Attempts to follow, view or track SCP-XXXX-1 have resulted in failure or injury. Further testing with SCP-XXXX must be approved from any personnel of clearance level 4 or higher.

Addendum-XXXX-01 Discovery: On 09/██/20██, the local police force was alerted to reports of anomalous activity occurring in a townhouse on [Redacted], PA. Foundation assets in the local police force responded to the alert, encountering massive structural damage to the second story guest bedroom, along with James ███████'s corpse, showing signs of bludgeoning. An autopsy revealed cause of death to be multiple internal wounds accompanied by heavy bleeding and massive trauma. Agents traced the cause to an SCP-XXXX instance on the victims personal computer, which was destroyed in the incident. Witnesses were administered C-Class Amnestics and the incident was blamed on a structural failure of the building. See Addendum-XXXX-03 for interview with M.███████, close relative of James ███████, and present in the townhouse during the incident. Multiple chat logs between POI-3892 and other "GAW" members are available in Addendum-XXXX-04.

Addendum-XXXX-03 Interview

Interviewed: M.███████

Interviewer: Dr. Whitner

Foreword: M.███████ is being questioned for the events leading up to the incident, and the incident itself.

<Begin Log>

Dr. Whitner: I'm sorry for the loss of your nephew, ma'am. Could you explain anything you may have heard, seen or witnessed leading to his death?

M.███████: Well, the day earlier he had broken his arm, after I heard a loud thump from his room. I didn't notice anything suspicious, but he was very cautious around the home PC, and told us to "avoid opening unknown files."

Dr. Whitner: Did you notice anything leading up to his death and the collapse of him room?

M.███████: Not particularly, I did hear him yell before the collapse, and a very loud sound similar to ripping a T-shirt or something. I assumed he fell or something when I ran up there.

Dr. Whitner: Alright, thank you for your time ma'am.

<End Log>

Closing Statement: It appears his death was from an abnormally large instance of SCP-XXXX-1. Its nature is unpredictable and it may have sentience to some extent. We are lucky it wasn't an -Dr. Whitner
