Special Containment Procedures: SCP-???? is to be kept in a secure standard size storage locker kept at consistent 23 °C.

Testing concerning SCP-???? can only be initiated by personnel with a Level 3 or higher security clearance in a room with a thermal resistance of B on the Atkins Scale.

Description: SCP-???? is a 20 oz bottle of ███████ ████████████ Fire. SCP-????'s anomalous properties only manifest once the liquid contained within SCP-????, designated SCP-????-B is ingested by a living creature of the kingdom Animalia. Approximately four hours from initial consumption of SCP-????-B, the subject, now designated SCP-????-C, will spontaneously ignite at a temperature of ████ °C. Any SCP-????-B removed from SCP-???? will be replaced at the moment of ignition.

The fire produced by SCP-????-C displays great resistance to any attempts to extinguish it. (See Experiment Logs.) Despite SCP-????-C remaining at ████ °C throughout the period of combustion, the overall mass and integrity of SCP-????-C remains the same before combustion unless acted upon by an outside force.

SCP-????-B produces no reaction when consumed by a living creature outside of the kingdom Animalia. All SCP-????-B consumed, regardless of whether or not an anomalous event occurred, will be replaced the moment an instance of SCP-????-C is created.

Test A - 11/27/██

Subject: D-6335
Procedure: D-6335 was instructed to consume 2 oz. of SCP-????-B.
Results: Four hours after initial SCP-????-B consumption, D-6335 spontaneously combusted in Site-██'s Test Chamber ██ and henceforth became known as SCP-????-C. Due to lack of information regarding the heat produced by SCP-????-C, the heat it produced began to melt the chamber's walls. Efforts to extinguish SCP-????-C through sprinklers in the chamber proved insufficient. Efforts to extinguish SCP-????-C through fire extinguisher proved similarly insufficient.
Analysis: SCP-????-C seems highly resistant to most, if not all, forms of extinguishing. SCP-???? testing should not be performed in a room with a thermal resistance lower than B on the Atkins Scale. Request to update containment procedures to state such.

Test B - 2/15/██

Subject: D-4341
Procedure: D-4341 was instructed to consume 5 oz. of SCP-????-B.
Results: Four hours after initial SCP-????-B consumption, D-4341 spontaneously combusted in Site-██'s Test Chamber ██ and henceforth became known as SCP-????-C. In an attempt to extinguish SCP-????-C, all oxygen was rapidly removed from the chamber. After ██ minutes without oxygen, SCP-????-C was extinguished successfully.
Analysis: It seems that a lack of oxygen is enough to render SCP-????-C inert. Further testing is required to discover the correlation between SCP-???? and oxygen in the environment.

Test C - 5/8/██

Subject: Dionaea Muscipula
Procedure: 1 oz. of SCP-????-B was injected into a singular specimen of Dionaea Muscipula.
Results: Four hours after initial SCP-????-B consumption, the specimen did not combust.
Analysis: SCP-????'s anomalous effects seem to not manifest when applied to living beings of the kingdom Plantae. Further testing is required on other organisms of other kingdoms to observe the reaction SCP-???? has on them.
