Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a level 5 hazardous personnel containment chamber. This chamber is to be outfitted with a bulletproof lining of at least level 6 and audiovisual surveillance equipment. The exterior of the cell is to be fitted with a secure lockbox containing one (1) revolver-type pistol, which must be kept fully loaded and must be requiring at least level 3 credentials to access. Research is only to be conducted using D-class personnel with a minimum of seven (7) days remaining until termination. Interrogation of SCP-XXXX-1 is only permitted with level 5 personnel restraints due to the fact that SCP-XXXX never exhausts its ammunition, no matter how many times it has been discharged.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a revolver-type pistol, speculated to have been built in 1882, and shows appropriate rates of oxidation and tarnish. All attempts to establish a manufacturer or model without initiating SCP-XXXX’s primary effect have been unsuccessful.

SCP-XXXX’s primary anomalous effect takes manifest when any individual comes in direct contact with SCP-XXXX. Upon contact, the individual is now classified as SCP-XXXX-1. All instances of SCP-XXXX-1 have proven to be extremely hostile, and upon interrogation are proven to know details of the weapon, but refuse to disclose them. All instances display uncooperative reactions to all prompting by research staff. SCP-XXXX-1 will refer to themselves as a self-proclaimed “outlaw” by the name of Tennessee Red. SCP-XXXX-1 will not respond to any other designation, and attempts to convince SCP-XXXX-1 otherwise have been inconclusive.

All attempts to remove SCP-XXXX from the possession of SCP-XXXX-1 have been met with extreme hostility, and tests have resulted in expiration of all involved with the exception of SCP-XXXX-1. After approximately 24 hours of possession, instances of SCP-XXXX-1 will randomly address one (1) individual in a 10 mile radius by name. From that point on, aforementioned member is classified as SCP-XXXX-2. Immediately, SCP-XXXX-1 will attempt to breach containment, the most prevalent form being to discharge SCP-XXXX into the containment cell door. If no individual is in range, SCP-XXXX-1 will name itself, and immediately fire SCP-XXXX into its own skull.

Upon arrival of SCP-XXXX-2, SCP-XXXX’s secondary anomalous effect will activate. SCP-XXXX-2 will approach SCP-XXXX-1’s cell and request a sidearm.(see special containment procedures). If this request is not met, SCP-XXXX-2 will enter an extremely hostile state, and will proceed to execute any personnel in the area until retrieving or being provided a weapon. Attempts to neutralize instances of SCP-XXXX-2 have simply resulted in instances of SCP-XXXX-1 designating a new instance of SCP-4742-2. After being provided with or seizing the requested weapon, SCP-XXXX-2 will point it directly towards SCP-XXXX-1, regardless of any object blocking SCP-XXXX-2’s line of sight. SCP-XXXX-1 will likewise point SCP-XXXX directly towards SCP-XXXX-2, with similar disregard for obstruction of vision. Both will fire their weapons simultaneously. Both SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 will expire instantaneously by gunshot to the cranium, despite any material present that may have interrupted any projectile. Both instances will locate one another and expire despite any amount of material interrupting the entities. After expiration, the remains are to be considered non-anomalous and are to be incinerated. SCP-XXXX is to be replaced in containment using level 5 hazardous material procedures and D-class personnel.
