Waddupgnomie Tooth and Dial concept

Classification: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures:
Object is to be kept in any non-metal, 5x5m room. The room is to be fitted with sound-absorbing panels to prevent inside-to-outside influence. No speakers or any electrical device must be present in the room.

SCP-XXXX’s container must be adjacent to containers made only of concrete or other non-metal characteristics. A locking mechanism using anything but magnetic attractors is required. If a key is used in this mechanism as the solution please do note that SCP-005 or any metal key must not be used if the original key is lost.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a prehistoric canine tooth twenty-seven cm in length fitted on top with a sundial. SCP-XXXX has elongated cracks scattered across its surface and appears to have survived a fire, the melting point of SPC-XXXX is unknown. Object rests on a clump of earth with magnetic properties.

Personnel Guidelines for Testing and Observation:
Upon entering the room for testing or observation, Individual must be sure there is no magnetic attractor on or in their body. Only one individual permitted at a time. Individual must keep both ears parallel to the front of SCP-XXXX. Failure to do so will result in dial spin, releasing a frequency of [UNDETERMINED].

Origin and properties of frequency still under study, but effects are as such: Bleeding eyes, bleeding ears, nose bleed. [IMPORTANT NOTE] Frequency is not lethal, however will induce psychoses, which yields a high suicide ratio in all reported victims. SCP-XXXX will occasionally, for reasons still under determination, rotate on its axis. When this happens the individual must rotate with it.

Addendum XXXX-1: Before the object was brought to the Foundation, in an accident by the capture team it’s sundial was exposed to sunlight resulting in an unknown frequency emitting from it. This frequency does not produce any immediate negative effects, but until more testing is done, only artificial sunlight is to be used when examining SCP-XXXX.

Addendum XXXX-2: A droning hum can be heard when walking past SCP-XXXX's container.
To our knowledge, XXXX has never been off its axis or it's magnetic based foundation, it is advised that until further study is done any plans to remove the object from its foundation is to be put on hold.

Addendum Incident XXXX-1: A D-Class personnel was walking past SCP-XXXX's container, personnel was wearing metal restraints. The restraints ripped off the personel's hands due to magnetic pull and blew through the door, creating a hole. SPC-XXXX became agitated and the the object’s dial spun, resulting in the psychoses of the D-class personnel and his transporter.

Addendum incident XXXX-2: An 0-1 security personnel walked past the container of SCP-XXXX, personnel had hip replacement surgery resulting in a metal hip replacement. Hip was ripped out of the individual, causing a bleed out. Fortunately no one else was on the container block so the ensued agitation frequency from SPC-XXXX harmed no-one.

Container relocation: To better suit the Foundation’s needs, SCP-XXXX will be relocated to a more isolated section of the building. XXXX's magnetic properties are causing problems in the logistics of the building, the relocation will result in personnel transporting metal to no longer being forced to take a different route that doesn't intersect with SPC-XXXX.
