Item #: SCP-7268
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-7268 does not require a specific containment procedure. Though, it has not proven to be 100% unhostile. When holding for more than a minute, the person should wear some sort of hand protection or gloves.
Description: SCP-7268 is a small gray humanoid with one large eye. It stands at a height of 9 inches tall and weighs an astonishing 47 pounds. The entire body, except for around the eye is made up of porous gray stone. Around the eye is a tough, fleshy layer that keeps the eye from getting irritated. X-rays have shown that SCP-7268:
- Does not have a skeletal system.
- Does have a nervous system.
- Does have a circulatory system (Though different to a human's).
- The brain is located directly beside the heart.
SCP-7268 was given the name of "Stone Cold" due to the fact that it is literally cold-blooded. The liquid that runs throughout its body has an average temperature of 10 degrees Fahrenheit. This keeps its body at a temperature of 10 to 20 degrees Fahrenheit. Studies have shown that when SCP-7268's body temperature gets to be around 60 degrees Fahrenheit, it becomes nauseous. When it gets to this point, it will begin to "sweat".
SCP-7268 was found in Portland Oregon after it had broken into an office building through the front glass doors. The receptionist at the front desk was startled and attempted to defend herself. She kicked it, but to her surprise, it stayed in the same place as it was before. SCP-7268 began to feel threatened when the receptionist charged towards it, so it secreted some of its "Blood" out of its feet which froze due to contact with oxygen, thus holding it in place.
Addendum 7268-1: In the year 19ββ, on March βth, a small sample was chipped off of SCP-7268. It began to make a high pitched squealing sound and secrete its blood from all pores. SCP-7268 was quickly placed in a 10x10x10 ft containment cell. For the next 15 minutes, it continued to bleed and squeal. When it was done, 2 Class D personnel were placed in the cell to clean up the mess it had made. The blood was about a half-inch deep. When the 2 D-Class personnel stepped into the room, their boots began to grow ice crystals above the line of blood. It was difficult to move through the blood because it was slowly hardening. A thin layer on top was already solid. Scientists at Site 23 have come to an agreement that this is how it defends itself.
