MTF Alpha-1 "Red Right Hand" were scrambled to the location of SCP-999 with strict orders to secure SCP-999 and terminate any entity that would impede their objective. The order was placed by an undetermined O5 member delivering the details in person. Shortly after arriving at Site 19, all communication with MTF Alpha-1 was lost though no equipment failure was detected. Site security camera footage show MTF Alpha-1 present in the site cafeteria with a number of other site staff as well as a small amount of D-Class personnel. MTF Alpha-1 proceeded to converse with those around them and begin making coffee and playing recreational games with both staff and D-class alike.

Due to the anomalous effects of SCP-999 growing in intensity as well as range, Project Lyssa is designed to be a countermeasure to the threat that has become SCP-999. Members from un-compromised MTF units (particularly those on the other side of the world from SCP-999) have been reassigned to the specialized task force MTF Psi-9 "Short Fuse" with the sole directive of neutralization or extra-planetary containment of SCP-999. MTF Psi-9 underwent conventional and anomalous procedures in order to invoke an unending and immense feeling of rage as an attempt to counteract the pacifying effect of SCP-999. Each member was chosen for their previous resistance to anomalous emotional control as well as their known susceptibility to anger and extreme prejudice when combating SCPs. Members of MTF Psi-9 are to be locked in time-release capsules that will be transported to the current location of SCP-999 with automatic, unalterable transport methods in order to ensure their task is unimpeded by compromised Foundation staff.
