Special Containment Procedures:
The houses directly opposite and either side of SCP-XXXX have been procured for Foundation use and must house no less than 2 personnel each who are to observe SCP-XXXX and ensure there is no civilian access to SCP-XXXX, including the backyard. Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX, no permanent security devices can be fixed directly to SCP-XXXX and as such surveillance remains the primary method of containment. Personnel are to also observe for any instances of SCP-XXXX-A leaving the premises and are to contain said instances if it is deemed that the amount of instances is unusual from a civilian perspective.
Any personnel entering SCP-XXXX must only speak on professional matters and are required to submit an up-to-date psychiatric evaluation before being assigned to SCP-XXXX [See Addendum XXXX-1]

Description:
SCP-XXXX is a 2-storey Victorian-era terraced house located in Newcastle, Australia. From an outside perspective, SCP-XXXX appears as a typical house of its area as its anomalous effects are only present inside the house itself, as well as the structure such as walls and foundation.
The anomalous properties of SCP-XXXX can be observed inside the residence when an object becomes damaged; ranging from minor scratches to anything less than obliteration such as complete corrosion due to acid. At this point, when all damaged pieces remain still, a number of Holconia insignis¹ (Designated as SCP-XXXX-A) will emerge from either under the damaged object/s or from the damaged location itself in the case of punctures or other deep surface impacts. As the instances of SCP-XXXX-A emerge, they will begin to smother the damaged object until it is completely covered and will remain there for approximately 2-10 seconds, depending on the damage sustained, and will then disperse² suddenly leaving a completely repaired object behind. Each instance of SCP-XXXX-A appears to be extremely docile and multiple specimens have been placed in containment for study. So far, no biological differences can be discerned from that of a regular member of its species.

The extent as to what can be repaired appears limited only by what can fit inside SCP-XXXX as both organic matter as well as non-physical entities have been affected by the anomalous properties of SCP-XXXX. Any request for experimentation must be submitted to the Head Researcher assigned to SCP-XXXX (currently Researcher Kevin Davis) and will then be forwarded to the Ethics Committee for approval.

Test XXXX-1

Subject:
One [1] ceramic dinner plate
Procedure:
The dinner plate was dropped from a height of roughly 130cm onto the tile flooring of the kitchen, shattering and spreading pieces roughly 5 meters around the room in each direction.
Results:
Instances of SCP-XXXX-A begin crawling out from each individual piece, with larger pieces spawning more instances. The number of instances grows to roughly 12,000, covering the entire floor with spiders to ensure the plate is completely covered. The spiders then disperse throughout the entire house and spread outside to where they were promptly destroyed. One bystander was applied amnestics due to witnessing the event. The plate was completely restored.
Analysis:
Experiments should try to maintain a small area of influence to reduce the effect of SCP-XXXX

Test XXXX-2

Subject:
One [1] broken stopwatch, given to Researcher Michaels by her deceased grandfather. The stopwatch stopped working roughly 13 years ago
Procedure:
The broken stopwatch was brought into SCP-XXXX and placed on a table where it remained still for 3 minutes.
Results:
During the 3 minutes, the stopwatch was unaffected by the anomalous properties of SCP-XXXX. After the 3 minutes had elapsed, Researcher Hammond hit the watch with a hammer, fracturing the face. At this point, roughly 15 instances of SCP-XXXX encapsulated the stopwatch for roughly 3 seconds after which they dispersed. The stopwatch remained and was completely repaired with an intact face and working inner mechanisms which had previously been damaged many years prior.
Analysis:
SCP-XXXX appears to be able to repair items that had been damaged outside of its area of influence, though only if further damaged while inside SCP-XXXX. Foundation departments may submit requests for the repair of important Foundation gear and equipment through the appropriate channels. Any requests for repair of personal items must be submitted to the SCP-XXXX repairs wait-list.

Test XXXX-3

Subject:
One (1) rusty nail
Procedure:
The is nail fractured into two (2) pieces and left to rest
Results:
A small number of instances of SCP-XXXX-A emerged from underneath the nail despite the nail being much smaller than them. They then covered the nail for 2 seconds and dispersed, leaving behind an intact rusty nail.
Analysis:
It appears that natural effects on an object such as rust or typical wear-and-tear are not affected by SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties.

Test XXXX-4

Subject:
One (1) Mus musculus.³
Procedure:
The subject was sedated and restrained inside a cage and was then was impacted with blunt force trauma, shattering multiple vertebrae and rendering it paralyzed in its hind legs.
Results:
The skin on the back of the mouse began to stretch and become engorged, causing the subject a great deal of distress and pain. The the skin continued to stretch until a number of SCP-XXXX-A instances burst from it and began to cover the subject. After the instances dispersed, the subject appeared to be alive and well, completely recovering from its injuries sustained from both the initial blunt force trauma and the injuries sustained due to the instances of SCP-XXXX-A. The subject appeared to be in no pain immediately after the instances of SCP-XXXX-A dispersed.
Analysis:
The anomalous effects of SCP-XXXX can clearly repair a biological organism the sustained physical trauma, though due to the gruesome nature of the procedure, testing regarding other medical applications such as the treatment of diseases has been suspended pending review from the Ethics Committee.

Test XXXX-5

Subject:
The floor seperating the second floor bathroom and the ground floor bathroom
Procedure:
A hole with a diameter of 3 cm was drilled into the floor of SCP-XXXX. This floor had been present in the house since it was built
Results:
Multiple instances of SCP-XXXX-A emerged from the hole and covered it on both ends. As they dispersed the floor had been repaired.
Analysis:
SCP-XXXX appears to be practically immune to damage. It must be ensured that SCP-XXXX is not subjected to severe structural damage at the risk of a large number of SCP-XXXX-A swarming the entire property. In the case of extreme natural conditions, civilians must be vacated from nearby residences.

+ Addendum XXXX-1: 

During routine inspection and maintenance on SCP-XXXX, two personnel were maintaining a personal conversation. During this time, one staff member made a joke at the expense of the other. At this point, the latter personnel member replied indicating that the topic of the joke was one of insecurity and shortly after complained of a headache. The personnel member suddenly shouted out in pain and fell to the floor, clutching at their head and passing out shortly after. A medical examination revealed an increase in intracranial pressure caused by two specimens of SCP-XXXX-A manifesting in between the skull and the brain, with said specimens being deceased at the time of operation. The member of staff made a full recovery and after a week long stay in the infirmary, noted that the topic of insecurity no longer had an impact on them and had completely moved on from what had apparently been a lifelong source of insecurity. This incident has led to a change in containment protocols and all submissions for access to SCP-XXXX for psychiatric reasons have been declined, no matter the significance.
