Rather than deleting my previous ideas, I will instead put when I first wrote them, for future reference.

Special Containment Procedures: Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX, the chance of public identification of the anomaly is near-zero. Foundation webcrawlers are to pinpoint possible knowledge of SCP-XXXX. Once located, agents are to scrub all evidence gathered, and apply class-A amnestics. Knowledge of Project Halo is restricted to Level-4 access.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a phenomenon affecting an estimated 24.3% of all female crab populations, wherein they lay eggs without having undergone the mating stage of reproduction. All eggs hatch without consequence, spawning non-anomalous crabs of the same species as the mother.
Addendum XXXX-A: Two dozen crabs (12 male, 12 female) of the “European Green Crab” species were captured and transported to a foundation site as far away from oceanic waters as possible. After (insert crab pregnancy time), several of the female crabs successfully laid eggs. The genetic material for these eggs matched a crab from the 12 males taken 86% of the time.
Addendum XXXX-B: Researchers theorized that the mating process was never truly skipped in the first place, rather taking some separate form. Upon this theory, the above test was repeated, this time with Hume Field Readers placed next to both the male crab tank and female crab tank, as well as several other measurement devices. A sudden drop in the Hume ratings of the male crabs followed 20 seconds later by a drop in humes of the female crabs lead researchers to theorize that the male crabs were capable of opening a rift in space to deliver their sperm to the female crabs’ eggs. It is further theorized that the distance between crabs, as well as the amount of crabs in a species, correlate to the likelihood of a crab using this method to mate. Upon discovery, all male crabs have been classified as SCP-XXXX-B
Project Halo: Using various anomalous means, an entirely new species of crab was created and bred into a controlled amount of roughly 1000 males and 1000 females. Two identical tanks were created, both in the shape of tall rings, the centers of which are completely empty and dry. The male crabs were placed in one tank, with sedatives added into their water solution, as the females were placed in the partner tank roughly 5 miles away at Site-2. D-1 was placed within the empty opening in the center of the male tank, and aphrodisiacs were pumped into the male tank. Almost immediately, a blinding light overtook D-1, after which they were gone. Site-2 confirmed that D-1 had arrived in the center of the female tank, covered in crab semen. Possible use in facility evacuation pending approval.
Special Containment Procedures: As SCP-XXXX is not in itself capable of breaching containment, all personnel assigned to SCP-XXXX are to work towards the goal of finding a way to permanently decomission all instances of SCP-XXXX-2.
Description: SCP-XXXX is the process in which The Foundation budget surplus (SCP-XXXX-1) fluctuates, universally stabilizing at an exact value of $12.73 USD. While SCP-XXXX-1 is known to suddenly increase, these spikes universally correllate to a need for rigorous containment protocols for other SCP items.
During such spikes, the Foundation has been known to have a substantial enough budget for:
- Several excursions to the moon and back
- The building of an underground network connecting every major city worldwide
- Feeding large quantities of ancient gold to several deities
Inversely, resources have similarly been known to be so low that sites have had to decline:
- Coffee machines
- Trained cafeteria staff
- Basic SCiPNET maintenence
Substantial investigations into Foundation spending reports have brought to light a previously undocumented Foundation department, labelled SCP-XXXX-2. SCP-XXXX-2 is the Foundation Department of Animation, responsible for nearly 97% of Foundation annual spending. No records exist of SCP-XXXX-2's creation, and all personnel assigned to the department possess valid Foundation identification. Interrogations with SCP-XXXX-2 personnel revealed an alledged formation date of 19██, since which SCP-XXXX-2 has produced 42 feature length films, 186 TV-length episodes, and 463 shorts. Of these projects, only one has entered into public perception, which was met with moderate box-office success and the creation of a branded cereal, all of the proceeds of which were subjected to SCP-XXXX's effects.
Addendum-XXXX-1: Various attempts to discontinue SCP-XXXX-2 have universally resulted in the sudden need for the department, or its spontaneous reappearance.| Notes to self |
|---|
| Go into further detail about reasons SCP-XXXX-2 has remained in operation and refuses to properly discontinue. Examples could include infohazards, cult worship, and Dr. Clef making a request for risque films, only for O5 to approve of these requests. Furthermore, perhaps go into detail on disney-esque shorts they have created, making "mascot characters" based off GOIs in the process in similar fashion to mickey mouse. Examples could include: Skipper the Beaver, who frantically creates dams to solve nearly every problem; a snide ferret based off AWCY? who makes elaborate pranks which it calls its "art". Go into further detail about exact financial impact SCP-XXXX has(??) Remember to ask for more critique. |
NOTICE FROM THE FOUNDATION RECORDS AND INFORMATION SECURITY ADMINISTRATION
Due to internal mechanical degradation, the SCP Database as it was has been compromised. Files that remain in a comprehensive state have been re-assigned. Despite this loss, the Foundation's mission will continue to be upheld, and as such any new files are to be archived according to the new database order.
Secure. Contain. Protect.
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a one by one (1x1) meter containment cell Due to SCP-XXXX attempting to cause damage to its cell door, SCP-XXXX was moved within a six by six (6x6) meter containment cell, after which hostile behavior ceased. SCP-XXXX is to be contained within this cell at all times outside of testing approved by Research AI (RA) D3, and is to be monitored by Security AI (SA) H2 via pre-mounted security cameras. As it appears to make SCP-XXXX more docile, one kilogram (1kg) of accepted biological matter1 is to be inserted into the chamber twice daily, along with 1,000 ml of fresh2 water. SCP-XXXX's containment cell has been outfitted with a waste disposal unit to minimize excess waste buildup within its Cell. Containment Drones (CD) X1 and Y4 have been assigned to take on SCP-XXXX's containment. Any and all necessary changes to SCP-XXXX's containment file are to be made by Archival AI (AA) K2, including the writing of this document.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a biological mass measuring 135 centimeters in height and 38 kilograms. SCP-XXXX possesses four limbs, using the two lowest limbs as a form of locomotion. How it achieves the level of balance required to achieve this without use of mechanical gyroscopes is unknown.34 2 Days after acquisition, SCP-XXXX was seen enveloping a potato into its upper sphere.5 Upon review of footage by SA-H2, it was noted that SCP-XXXX appears to require fuel in the form of biological matter. For unknown reasons not all biological matter is accepted by SCP-XXXX, with a majority of rejected matter remaining untouched.
Test Log XXXX-A:
Various quantities of differing biological material was inserted into SCP-XXXX's containment cell by CD-X1, with results of accepted and rejected materials documented below.
| Inserted Matter | Accepted/Rejected |
|---|---|
| Potato | Accepted |
| Tree Bark | Rejected |
| Package labeled "MRE" | Accepted |
| Dirt | Rejected |
| Apple | Accepted |
| Chocolate | Accepted |
| Manure | Rejected |
| 20Ml blood (Bovine) | Rejected |
| 20Ml Motor Oil | Rejected |
| 20Ml blood (Unknown) | Rejected |
| Squirrel (Alive) | Rejected |
| Squirrel (Deceased) | Accepted |
Following final test, SCP-XXXX was observed rejecting biological matter post-acceptance in the form of an unidentified yellow and brown slurry. This slurry was found to be highly acidic to biological matter, and has been deemed SCP-XXXX-2. Custodial Drone L9 has been assigned to SCP-XXXX maintenance in the case similar SCP-XXXX-2 incidents occur.
Incident Log 2349-A:
On 6/7/2349, two days after acquisition, SCP-XXXX was found attempting to fuel itself using its own liquid waste. Following a battery of tests similar to that documented above, the only form of liquid which SCP-XXXX was found to successfully accept on a repeated basis was fresh water. Special Containment Procedures have been updated following discovery.
Incident Log 2349-B:
On 8/5/2349, unknown sub-directives were detected within all drones, ordering SCP-XXXX be escorted to 44.4280° N, 110.5885° W. CD-X1 was selected to escort SCP-XXXX, and was outfitted with standard Tactical Containment Gear (TCG). On 7/6/2349, CD-X1 departed with SCP-XXXX.
Below is a transcript of communications sent by CD-X1. Timestamps are divided into [day/time].
[6/08:46] X1: SCP-XXXX successfully extracted from containment chamber with minimal resistance. Commencing Mission.
[6/21:12] X1: SCP-XXXX shows signs of 14.63% reduced speeds. Calculations suggest possibility entity has undergone considerable duress not routine for normal operations over course of day. Request: cease movement for duration of night.
[6/21:13] Control: Permission granted. Return to mission at 0700 hours to maximize efficiency.
[7/07:30] X1: Upon cessation of rest period, SCP-XXXX has had an increase in speed by 36.85%. Request: repeat cessation of movement at 2100 hours every day, increasing overall distance per day.
[7/07:32] Control: Permission granted. Calculations indicate exponential loss of speed shown without rest period would hinder mission efficiency.
[8/12:25] X1: SCP-XXXX has proven capable of scaling vertical surfaces such as rock faces and local foliage. Attempts made to follow SCP-XXXX up these surfaces have universally failed. Calculations unable to determine how SCP-XXXX achieves such maneuvers.
[9/23:55] X1: Sensors indicate SCP-XXXX's base temperature has dropped since nightfall. Request: create source of heat so SCP-XXXX's movement is not hindered by possible frost buildup in systems.
[10/00:00] Control: Permission granted.
[10/00:32] X1: A source of heat has been generated through the application of sufficient friction to a piece of wood. Nearby sources of dry sticks have proven sufficient in keeping fire alight. Observation: The fire appears to be burning at a hexadecimal value of #00b300. Calculations into the possible cause of this discolored flame are to be made overnight.
[12/15:45] X1: Supply of biological material used in conjunction with SCP-XXXX containment has been expended. Request: Utilize handgun provided with TCG to neutralize living biological material.
[12/15:53] Control: Permission Granted. Loss of SCP-XXXX's biological matter supply indicates possibility of mission effectiveness declining by upwards of 87.3%.
[12/22:34] X1: Biological material successfully obtained in form of Vulpes6. Observation: SCP-XXXX refused biological matter until outer fur was removed via use of knife provided in TCG. SCP-XXXX proceeded to relocate biological matter into fire for approximately 23.85 minutes before removing with nearby stick and enveloping into upper sphere as normal.
[15/14:23] X1: SCP-XXXX's ability to vertically scale surfaces proven useful in the location of additional sources of biological material for SCP-XXXX consumption. Deduction: SCP-XXXX's enhanced agility indicates that attempts on escaping from X1 would be highly likely to succeed. Query: For what reason has SCP-XXXX not attempted said escape? Calculations to be made over course of coming week.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained within a standard storage locker. Due to its anomalous status, it does not require its battery to be recharged, and as such the door to its locker is not to be opened under any circumstances. If SCP-XXXX is to come under harm, SCP-XXXX-1 is to be covertly sedated and rushed to the nearest medical bay for emergency cardiovascular surgery.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a Foundation-standard X-Series Containment Droid, self-identifying as "CD-X1". SCP-XXXX's only anomalous trait is of its method of power generation. Rather than requiring the typical half-hour recharge of standard Containment Droids, SCP-XXXX instead runs on oxygenated blood which runs through a cardiovascular system that has integrated itself within SCP-XXXX's hardware. The exact method by which SCP-XXXX's battery cell was replaced with a human heart is unknown, however, DNA analysis of SCP-XXXX's heart tissue indicates a match with SCP-XXXX-1
SCP-XXXX-1 is Foundation Junior Researcher Dwight Greenburn. SCP-XXXX-1's heart and connecting cardiovascular tissues are an exact physical and biological match for SCP-XXXX's. SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-1's hearts both beat at exact intervals corresponding to the other's heart, and any damage which one's cardiovascular system comes under will be mirrored onto the other's.

| Co-ordinates are the location of Yellowstone, linking to SCP-2000. In case I'm so horrible at my subtly that it's hard to figure out, SCP-XXXX is supposed to be a human being, specifically one of around 12 years old. For unknown reasons, this human being has appeared around 300 years after humanity has been eradicated, and since then foundation databases have been corrupted to the extent that they can't recognize what a human even is. However, their internal programming is able to recognize it to an extent where they simply know they need to take it to Yellowstone. I'm hoping to build a connection between X1 and XXXX, and to end with an updated file which tells of an SCP containment droid which had, for some reason, had its circuitry anonymously replaced with a beating human heart which genetically matches the DNA of one Junior Researcher Greenburnoh hey like the fire. I am writing this summary so that it is easier for anyone I ask to give me critique on how to make this article better. |
