Item #:SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: Direct observation of SCP-XXXX is to be coordinated with the assigned Space Agencies around the globe to assure every time SCP-XXXX isn't recorded as it gets near the atmosphere. Once it enters the atmosphere, air and ground units might be deployed to avoid SCP-XXXX getting in contact with anything or anyone.
Once SCP-XXXX reaches the atmosphere, the "back" side of it must never touch sentient organic beings under threat of ████████████████████ being released.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a blue-green metal-like hexahedron of roughly 3.67 squared meters, orbiting around the Earth and colliding with Earth's orbit approximately every 5 years and 3 months. SCP-XXXX is only detectable when it reaches the Earth's atmosphere, effectively vanishing from existance once it is over 983km away from the trophosphere. The altitude from the ground when in Earth's range varies wildly every time it enters into orbit, the lowest recorded height being 5km from the sea level in the year ████.
Once SCP-XXXX enters the atmosphere, it does not burn up as a regular comet would. It appears to keep a temperature of exactly 198K under any circumstances, and a constant speed of 89 km/s. Its speed is extremely low for an object with a 5 year 3 month orbit, so it is possible that it speeds up when outside of Earth's range. Bear in mind that SCP-XXXX will not stop when colliding with anything, always keeping the same speed, sometimes causing collisions with planes, satellites or space debris, depending on the altitude it passes over. By itself, it is completely silent until it collisions with something. It is also noted that it seems to vibrate in place during movement for about 2.3mm in all directions while keeping its route.
The composition and weight of SCP-XXXX are unknown. The exterior of the "box" resembles anodized steel, with diferent etchings in each side in an unknown language, resembling a mix of very complicated geometrical shapes constantly changing form. It also does no appear to be completely solid in form, having multiple icosahedrons infinitely expanding inside in an almost organic manner, visible through the translucid "sides". Multiple observers have reported seeing different shapes at the same time, and photographic evidence is inconclusive as the etchings show as a blur when photographed.
SCP-XXXX does not appear to be sentient in any shape or form, and is innocuous to anyone outside its path. However, direct contact with any of the sides produce various effects of strange nature, now to be called SCP-XXXX-1, SCP-XXXX-2, SCP-XXXX-3, SCP-XXXX-4, SCP-XXXX-5, and SCP-XXXX-6.
SCP-XXXX-1 is the most common result of contact with SCP-XXXX, which is anything that comes in contact with the "front" side of SCP-XXXX, which is not just the surface of it but a convex "forcefield" portruding around 5mm over this side . Any object, no matter how small or big that touches it, gets turned into photon particles, then dispersed quickly. Objects large enough will leave a square-shaped hole where SCP-XXXX-1 has happened. No signs of burning can be discerned from affected objects. Tests involving both organic and inorganic beings have been seen to produce the same effect every time.
SCP-XXXX-2 is the result of contact with the "top" part of SCP-XXXX. Anything experiencing SCP-XXXX-2 will appear to lose gravity, staying in place for about 3 hours. Objects retrieved that have been subjected to SCP-XXXX-2 show no other anomalous properties after the effect passes.
SCP-XXXX-3 is the result of contact with the "bottom" part. Objects subjected to SCP-XXXX-3 are exposed to a 4K temperature shock, effectively flash-freezing almost anything; they are also turned completely black, to the point they absorb 99.9% of light. Strangely, the temperature change effect is only observed over the matter that was affected, and not on the area surrounding it. After 3 hours, any object subjected to SCP-XXXX-3 returns to the temperature it originally had in less than a nanosecond, without any heat absorption, which is against the laws of thermodynamics. Inorganic objects return to exactly their previous composition. To see the results on organic beings, see Research Log 9578-3-2.
SCP-XXXX-4 is the result of contact with the "left" side of the box. Objects exposed to SCP-XXX-4 will immediately begin to vibrate wildly, having every single of their atoms in an agitated state while still mostly retaining their original shape. Since agitation turns any exposed thing weightless, they will hover in their place, not being able to be touched by anything, for a lapse of 3 hours. Inorganic objects return to exactly their previous composition. To see the results on organic beings, see Research Log 9578-4-3.
SCP-XXXX-5 is the result of contact with the "right" side of the box. Initial tests showed exposed objects "blinked out of existance" as if they were never there, no matter the size. Additional tests have proven that that is not the case, as the objects are merely being teleported to seemingly random locations in space and time. One of the incidents regarding it are recorded in Research Log 9578-4-3.
SCP-XXXX-6 is the result of contact with the "back" side of the box. Under ████████████████████ sentient beings have shown ████████████████████████████ exposed to ████████████████████████████████████ . ████████████████████████████. No further tests must be run ████████████████████████████████████.
Research Log 9578-3-2
Thanks to Dr. Schultz's modifications to the ██████████████ ship, we have been able to begin experimenting on SCP-XXXX the last 3 times it has entered Earth. Results with SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 have shown no new changes, so we were ready to test the effects of SCP-XXXX-3.
After hours of exhaustive testing with inorganic objects, we have seen no variation in the time it takes for an affected item to return to normal, the time being only 2-3 minutes longer for items containing carbon. We will now test SCP-XXXX-3 on living organic beings.
First subject is a guinea pig. Shields have been deployed to protect it from the massive speed of the aircraft. After 3 hours of being frozen, subject returned to normal temperatures, although deceased.
Second subject is a group of 5 Class-D personnel. After applying the same protocol as the guinea pig and waiting 3 hours, first subject returned to normality, only to perish. Identical results were obtained with 3 of the other personnel, only one showing an anomalous property.
Fourth subject after 3 hours remained alive for about 4 minutes before going into shock from unknown causes, and then perished. Subject was histerical, screaming nonsensical words right until expiration. Results are inconclusive.
