Item #: XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX should be surrounded on all sides by a five-meter tall chain-link fence topped with half a meter of barbed wire, arranged in a square with sides a kilometer wide, hereby designated the enclosure. At each corner and halfway through each side of the enclosure is a guard tower manned twenty-four/seven by MTF-X-X. Any civilians approaching within fifteen meters of the walls of the enclosure are entitled to a single warning shot before termination if refusing to comply with orders given by MTF-X-X. A single dirt road runs from the south of the enclosure to the north of the enclosure. A manned gate is positioned where the road meets the wall of the enclosure.
Signs placed every ten meters along the outside wall state that the inside of the enclosure has suffered a large chemical spill, and is off-limits to any civilians. This is also the cover story used by SCP-XXXX in the case of exposure.
Any cars or civilians approaching the road leading into SCP-XXXX must be directed along a side road leading to another bridge two kilometers east of the enclosure, after which the side road reconnects with the main road. This interchange must be watched by MTF-X-X agents.
Any agents requesting entrance into the enclosure must be at least Level 4 or above and have been previously requested by an already certified researcher within the enclosure, or by two members of the O5 Council. All agents within the enclosure must be briefed accordingly and housed in the barracks lining the walls of the enclosure. Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX and the possible breaches of information caused by anyone leaving the enclosure, an agent cannot leave until they have finished Procedure-XXXX-1. (More details in Procedure Logs)
SCP-XXXX itself is contained within a 30x30x30 meter building with two-meter thick concrete walls reinforced with steel. This building is hereby designated the laboratory. The road which runs through the enclosure enters the laboratory at the south, where it enters onto a bridge ten meters from the southern end of the building, which continues until five meters from the northern end of the laboratory. The bridge is built over a river approximately fifteen meters wide which begins outside the western wall of the enclosure, through the laboratory, to past the eastern wall of the enclosure. The river has been diverted below the wall of the enclosure where it is filtered constantly, running through a system of canals under the laboratory where it is released as normal on the other side.
Only researchers and requested agents currently present in the enclosure with Documents 7-8 signed by a member of the O5 Council may enter the laboratory. All further testing must be approved by signed Documents 4-6.
At least three members of the O5 Council must agree for a test of the anomalous properties of SCP-XXXX to be completed. Any votes concerning SCP-XXXX can be vetoed by three members of the O5 Council.
Any instances of SCP-XXXX-2, -3, -4 manifesting in SCP-XXXX result in MTF-X-X beginning Procedures-XXXX-2, -3, and -4, respectively. (More details in Procedure Logs)
Each day that an experiment or requested manifestation is not scheduled, Procedure-XXXX-5 should be completed.
If, for any reason, the enclosure and/or laboratory should ever suffer shut down, local landfills A,B, and C (see Map #XXXX-A) should be emptied and replaced over the enclosure. Every year this procedure should be replicated only by Foundation cover-up agencies.
Procedure Log: 1
Any agents requesting to leave the enclosure must sign Document 3, ensuring their agreement to the following processes. The agent must have completed either A.) Their assigned mission, or B.) Have been injured, either physically or mentally. The agent must be debriefed by the leading senior researcher currently within the enclosure, then tested to be human by a selected team of researchers, and irradiated. Then the agent is given Class-A Amnestics and a new story fabricated for them about researching a memetic object which has yet to be classified as a file which erased their memory. The agent should then be taken to Site-19 and released into the hospital ward before awakening from the amnestics.
Procedure Log: 2
In the manifestation of SCP-XXXX-2, MTF-X-X should enter the proximity of SCP-XXXX wearing radiation suits and retrieve the object, which should be placed in an irradiated lead-lined crate, size depending on the dimensions of the object. This crate is to be brought to the High Security Vault within the enclosure, and locked securely in an airtight containment unit away from all other instances. The area in proximity to SCP-XXXX is to be irradiated.
Procedure Log: 3
In the manifestation of SCP-XXXX-3, MTF-X-X should enter the proximity of SCP-XXXX wearing radiation suits and retrieve the being. The being should be terminated on sight if not called for by the current researching team, or if it is an unscheduled manifestation. If experimentation has been requested, MTF-X-X are to take the instance and chain it down by all limbs onto a disection table within the closed-off section of the laboratory. If experimentation has not been requested, but the specimen is needed, it is to be taken to the High Security Vault within the enclosure and placed in a standard procedure non-humanoid containment chamber and irradiated.
Procedure Log: 4
In the manifestation of SCP-XXXX-4, MTF-X-X should enter close proximity of SCP-XXXX wearing specially-fitted heavy radiation suits. SCP-XXXX-4 is to be gathered with a rag and placed in a lead-lined steel jar. The area is to be irradiated, as well as all members of MTF-X-X, and all personel within the laboratory. The laboratory is to be quarantined until all the air within the building has cycled completely. The jar of SCP-XXXX-4 is then to be buried separately from all other specimens twenty meters below ground, and covered up with concrete.
Procedure Log: 5
Each day that no manifestations have been requested or scheduled, MTF-X-X is to request a single D-Class agent from the barracks. This D-Class is to approach the proximity of SCP-XXXX holding a sample of SCP-XXXX-7 kept in the High Security Vault. They are to [REDACTED] leaving SCP-XXXX closed to any further manifestations or radiation. This D-Class is to be recorded as Lost and should not be recovered. In the case that there are no samples of SCP-XXXX-7, then the laboratory is stated as "Shut Down" and previously recorded containment procedures should be followed.
