"The Endless Alternate Reality Game"

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: The Foundation network must keep SCP-XXXX blocked to public access at all times. In the event of power failure, SCP-XXXX's address should be encrypted and disguised as an outdated home-furnishing service with text suggesting that the server's last maintenance was on October 16, 2007. All instances of SCP-XXXX must be tracked down and blocked immediately using similar encryption and disguising methods. As of April 24, ████, there are 18 instances of SCP-XXXX, all deemed SCP-XXXX-1, SCP-XXXX-2, and so on. Testing with SCP-XXXX requires confirmation by X Level X administrators.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an Alternate Reality Game under the website domain http:/███████████.com/████████████. The anomalous effects of SCP-XXXX occur when a human attempts to further investigate into the website, such as clicking an external link or opening the source HTML code. Upon exploration of SCP-XXXX, a memetic agent will infect the mind of the user, forcing him or her to become addicted to solving SCP-XXXX. Those infected will become violent if interrupted or restrained from access to the computer. Subjects restrained from the computer used to access SCP-XXXX and are given a different computer with the same access will not become subdued and insist of using the original computer.

if prevented from exploring further into SCP-XXXX and a lack of care for their hygiene and well-being. Class A amnestics have proved successful in combating the memetic agent, though severe dementia and [REDACTED] may occur.

As of April 24, ████, there are an estimated 54 instances of SCP-XXXX, including new websites with more information such has pictures, audio files, texts in source code, and nonsensical ciphers, all named SCP-XXXX-1, SCP-XXXX-2, and so on. Each instance, besides SCP-XXXX-1 through SCP-XXXX-16, are believed to have been created through Foundation testing, but cannot be confirmed as research and test staff were unaware of SCP-XXXX's anomalous website and media creation. These 54 instances

Really necessary? Too many mind control SCPs.
Salvage idea: An Alternate Reality Game that goes on forever. "Algorithm??" creates new websites as someone goes along. Random nonsense is generated as someone continues.

Fix grammar. Too bLoCkY.

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe? Euclid?

Special Containment Procedures:Mobile Task Force [] is assigned to guarding the 122 km coast of Pyramiden and all boats attempting to dock must be directed out and given the excuse of "a Russian military outpost exercise." If any organism (beside man) of the Kingdom Animalia is seen on the island of Pyramiden, it must be terminated immediately. If a human is spotted on Pyramiden, he or she must be given class A amnestics. If a human is seen on Pyramiden during an SCP-XXXX-A event, he or she must be terminated immediately. (See Termination Process A).

Description:SCP-XXXX is the island of Pyramiden off of North██st Russia. SCP-XXXX has a coast of 122 km and contains the abandoned town of [REDACTED]. The town [REDACTED] consists of 5 Soviet-era dormitories, a coal mining facility with a conveyor belt leading into the side of the center mountain, a community center, school house, and hospital. Gravel roads lead up to each abandoned house and converge in the middle around a small statue of Lenin.

SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties manifest in an event, deemed SCP-XXXX-A, and take place daily between 11:██ P.M. and 5:██ A.M. During SCP-XXXX-A, a dense fog will form around the top of the center mountain and slowly expand down, with equal amounts of increasing fog on all sides of the mountain and will cease expansion at exactly 42 m from the coast of the Island. During every SCP-XXXX-A event, four S-40 Soviet sirens surrounding the Lenin statue will activate. These sirens must always be connected to a power source and never turned off to alert Mobile Task Force of an SCP-XXXX-A event [].

The anomalous fog can reach a temperature of -224 Celsius, though it varies from each event. If any nonhuman organism of the Kingdom Animalia is standing in SCP-XXXX-A when it reaches 42 m from the coast, it will subsequently perish from the cold. In contrast, humans will undergo a pulmonary crystallization and, as a result, begin the process in becoming SCP-XXXX-1. For a full report on the process, see Addendum-1. Inside of the fog, hostile SCP-XXXX-1s have been discovered. Proof of their existence can be seen through both video evidence and claw marks on animals released into the fog for testing purposes. To see a (Their method of attacking cannot be recorded as SCP-XXXX-1 would not engage.)

IDEAS: Pyramiden is a city with a dense fog. Once fog rolls over, monsters seen in SCP 1499 appear. They are always hostile. Multiple duplicates of SCP 1499 (without the anomalous effects) are found in some abandoned building. A coal mine leads to the flesh that hates city. TOO MANY REFERENCES OR?

Pyramiden is really far north! Incorporate cold?

Pyramiden is a city with a dense fog that rolls over every x. The cold can reach a temperature of x? Crystallization of the lungs!
