Special containment procedures: The are currently no known ways to contain SCP-####, however, instances of SCP-####-1 are to be reported to [REDACTED] and recorded to PC terminal [REDACTED] for logistical purposes, and for the purposes of monitoring the activity of SCP-#### in the general population. Should logistical data indicate a rise or a sudden spike in activity of SCP-####, protocol 678-BA is to be initiated. Instances of SCP-####-1 are to be kept in a room under light levels of 50 lux, with a high definition television broadcasting anime 24/7. Should light levels reach over 70 lux within the containment chambers of instances of SCP-####-1, instances should be administered class-C memetic and moved to a lower light level area or containment cell, security personnel are authorized to terminate any instances of SCP-####-1 should they begin to show any symptoms of attempting to spread SCP-####, this includes verbal conversation between infected and non-infected personnel.
Description: SCP-#### is an extremely rare psychological disease (with a chance of 0.000000000847% chance of even manifesting) affecting victims through over-exposure to Japanese cartoons, more commonly known as anime. Examples include “One Piece”, written by Eiichiro Oda, and “Naruto” written by Masashi Kishimoto.
SCP-#### has three phases of manifestation: the first phase of initiation is usually hard to detect since it is subtle, and varies from person to person; those affected will begin to exhibit mild interest in anime, the anime of interest usually being the first type, genre or name seen or heard of by the individual through the internet, or other means of exposure. Said victim will then begin to make attempts to view anime. It is important to note that phase 1 may never occur if, said victim is never exposed to anime. Approximately after phase 1 is complete, affected individuals are referred to as SCP-####-1.
Phase 2 usually begins when the affected individual reaches a certain level of interest within the individuals chosen anime. The sufferer will then attempt to spend exuberant amounts of money on products related to the chosen anime (in extreme cases, this has led to financial difficulty and even bankruptcy), and spend an increased amount of time indoors reading or watching anime, and as a result, socially isolating themselves from others. During phase 2, sufferers will become over-sensitive to light, and withdraw from any areas with light levels over 70 lux. In phase 3 of SCP-####, individuals affected will begin to have either sexual or intimate fantasies of characters from the individuals anime of interest, and will begin to increase the amount of time spent watching their preferred anime, to the point of forgetting to eat, drink or sleep.
Towards the end of phase 3, individuals will begin to participate on online forums related to preferred anime, and attempt to spread SCP-####. Post phase 3, instances of SCP-####-1 will attempt to infect other individuals, through any means necessary, some instances resorting to violence to talk about anime.
