Special Containment Procedures:
When personnel are withing a 10m radius of the pool its movement is halted entirely, therefore it must be monitored 24/7 by on site researchers to keep its location discrete. A perimeter fence of 10km has been placed around the SCP to prevent non foundation members from discovering its existence. This procedure has been done at all known sites of SCP-XXXX.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a pool of water surrounded by 6 4 meter tall palm trees and 18 shrubs of unknown species. The pool was first discovered by foundation personnel in the Australian outback in 20XX, however upon leaving the site personnel were unable to return. The pool was then rediscovered months later in a new location, several kilometers from its initial discovery. When more personnel were called to the site, it was found at the same coordinates the current crew were located.
The pool itself looks to be less than 30 centimeters deep when observed from the bank but upon entering the pool this supposed shallowness is not consistent, with personnel describing a vast ocean beneath. Upon entering the ocean personnel appear to disappear into the sand at the bottom of the pool. From the perspective of the personnel in the pool it looks as if they are trapped under ice, only the section open to the sky is visible with pitch darkness at the rest of the roof. Further investigation of this ocean found other exits to other identical pools located in other deserts, the list of located entrances is as follows, Antarctica, the Sahara, the Arizona Desert and [Redacted].
Several research teams have investigated the pool, however one expedition launched on [Redacted] is yet to return from their voyage. The personnel on board the craft are presumed dead due the limited resources on board the craft.
