Class: Keter

SCP-0000, more commonly referred to as the Aether, is a recently discovered network of signals which travel undetected via an unclassified particle carrying information from one place to another at the speed of light. This wave has been found to have the ability to persist through dimensions and cannot be disrupted or decoded by any means. It was discovered after two entities, named SCP-0000-1 and SCP-0000-2, were found on opposite ends of the Earth repeating an identical movement sequence resembling that of an obscure ritualistic dance, at a small delay. Telepathy has been ruled out as the delay between their movements is found to be identical to the travel time of photons travelling across the same distance. The two entities (both 189.4cm tall) are faceless, white, humanoid organisms and show no signs of higher brain functions, but are identical in molecular composure and DNA according to the results from lab sampling. Their limbs have suffered noticeable muscular deterioration and show typical symptoms of extreme malnutrition, but brain scans show that neither SCP-0000-1 or SCP-0000-2 are aware of, nor showing distress towards, their grossly exaggerated cases of atrophy.
Both entities remain under close examination in their respective test chambers in the North and South Poles in hopes of revealing anything about the nature of the Aether.

This ability to transfer information between entities is not exclusive to SCP-0000-1 and SCP-0000-2. Experimentation has revealed that SCP-049 uses an identical method to communicate with any entities he has reanimated. Additionally, SCP-0000-1 and SCP-0000-2 were found to continue their movement sequence when placed in different dimensions. This discovery has opened up the possibility that all SCPs have access to the Aether and are manipulating it to gain access to their unique properties and/or that all SCPs are a single entity operating over a vast majority of different vessels. The Aether may contain the answers to the nature of all the SCPs, their origins or even the key to terminating SCPs which pose a severe threat to society.

We believe that the label Keter is appropriate considering the connotations that come with the possibility that all SCPs can communicate with one another at such a rate. This means that all SCPs, sentient or inanimate, have the ability to endeavour towards a common purpose with possible malevolent intentions. Additionally, if other SCPs classed as Keters have the ability to manipulate the Aether, then it could be the source of their nature and therefore encapsulates them all. Finally, the fact that we cannot understand the information being transmitted makes it unpredictable and therefore dangerous. Depending on the magnitude of this discovery, it may need to fall under a new category altogether.
