Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored inside its original packaging in Storage Locker 16 at Site-██ when not in use.
Access to SCP-XXXX requires Level-2 clearance. Watchlist databases have been updated with SCP-XXXX information, so any shipments of SCP-XXXX can be intercepted and secured.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a set of items comprising of two (2) identical instances of SCP-XXXX-1 and one (1) instance of SCP-XXXX-2.
SCP-XXXX-1 is a costume resembling a spacesuit. It consists of white fabric overalls and a large plastic helmet with a sliding visor. Its height is measured at 150cm, but has been shown to be able to stretch up to a height of 180cm, with no permanent damage.
Attached to the suit's back is a rectangular box that contains the slots for four (4) AA batteries. It is connected by two (2) ordinary rubber-coated copper wires, woven into the inside of the suit, to an apparatus on the suit's right hand.
The apparatus is decorated with several non-functonal buttons, and a larger, red button that triggers SCP-XXXX-1's anomolous properties.
When the button is pressed, all matter touching SCP-XXXX-1 loses its adherence to several laws of physics: Momentum is preserved when the button is pressed, but neither gravity nor air resistance affects the wearer1 until the button is pressed again, disabling the effect, or the supply of energy from the AA batteries within SCP-XXXX-1 is removed. On average, four standard AA batteries have been shown to hold the effect for six (6) hours.
Investigation shows that within the apparatus is a circuit board that appears to serve no purpose. The apparatus does not function when the circuit board is removed.
SCP-XXX-2 is a small cube with a circular metal panel on one side (hereby referred to as its front), a red button on an adjacent side (hereby referred to as its top), and the slots for two (2) AA batteries on the opposite side (hereby referred to as its back).
When the button is pressed, SCP-XXXX-2 emits a hum. When the front of the cubeis in close proximity with an object, the object is "charged" with anomolous properties, similar in effect to those of SCP-XXXX-1. Depending on the length of the "charging" period, and the mass of the object, the duration of the anomolous effect varies. Two (2) standard AA batteries have been shown to sustain SCP-XXXX-2 in its active state for six (6) hours.
Examination has revealed that the insides of the cube are similar to those of the apparatus on SCP-XXXX-1, though the circuit board is distinct.
SCP-XXXX was found inside a cardboard box, decorated with a photograph of two (2) children wearing instances SCP-XXXX-1, floating in what appears to be the backyard of a suburban home, with a woman watching them, smiling.2 Large letters on the upper part of the image identify SCP-XXXX as "the Astro-Fun Pack™". The box also contained an advertising and instructional booklet. An excerpt from the booklet follows:
