SCP-XXXX before containment procedures were put in place

Special Containment Procedures: A 3 meter high electric fence is to be set up in a 3 by 3 meter area around SCP-XXXX, with a gate directly in front of the object. Armed guards are to be stationed at SCP-XXXX's containment site, with 2 being stationed at the gate. Due to the specific nature of the anomaly, all tests must follow a very specific process. please refer to addendum XXXX-1 for the proper testing procedure

Description: SCP-XXXX is a white door made of oak wood, mounted to it's frame with no walls surrounding it. It cannot be locked, only shut. It is located in close proximity to Site-██. When SCP-XXXX is entered, the space inside will initially appear to be a pitch black room. The anomalous properties only manifest when the door is closed. When this happens, the room will change into what has been classified as a "Liminal Space", which is an area that seems familiar or nostalgic, yet has never actually been visited. They can sometimes cause feelings of uneasiness or paranoia. The form of the Liminal Space depends on the memories of the first subject to enter the door. The memories are not replicated exactly, but are similar. The spaces usually appear in a state of disrepair and have low light levels. If the subject verbally reports feelings of uneasiness or paranoia, the space will slowly change back to a pitch black room and the door will disappear, trapping those inside the space. Afterwards, a scream of 194 decibels will be heard, at which point all present in the space will die from ruptured eardrums. This killing method has been named "The Breaker Effect". SCP-XXXX was discovered on 08/08/1986 by Foundation personnel.

Addendum XXXX-1: Proper Testing Procedure.
Step 1: Test subjects are to open the door, then enter in single file, followed by Foundation Guards with radio connection to the attending researcher outside. the door is to be closed by Foundation Guards when ordered by the attending researcher.

Step 2: All personnel are to wait until the space fully develops, then the test subject is to observe the space and write down their observations. If they wish to speak, they must not speak of any feelings of uneasiness or paranoia.

Step 3: After the test subject has completed their observations, they are to state this to Foundation Guards, who will then inform the attending researcher. Foundation Guards are to then open the door and all personnel are to exit the space in single file.

Step 4 (emergency plan): If the test subject verbally reports feelings of uneasiness or paranoia, the test is to be abandoned. Foundation Guards are to open the door and and all personnel are to exit the space as quickly as possible. Afterwards, the door is to be shut.

Step 5: After all personnel have exited the space, the attending researcher is to read the written observations of the test subject. The test subject is free to speak of their observations at this time.

Addendum XXXX-2: Testing logs

Subject: D-2338
Attending Researcher: Dr. Rights.
Liminal Space Generated: Arcade bearing strong resemblance to "██████████" in ███████████, UT. The overhead lights are broken or have gone out, and all of the windows are smashed. The wallpaper was peeling and the carpet was heavily stained. Most of the arcade machines still work optimally, aside from the fact that they permit usage without prior insertion of credits.
Test: Subject was instructed to operate one of the machines for a few minutes once Dr. Rights realized the machines exhibited no anomalous effects. The Breaker Effect was not triggered.

Subjects: D-1985, D-4371, D-7159
Attending Researcher: Dr. King.
Liminal Space Generated: Apple orchard just before its harvest.
Test: Personnel were ordered to exit the space when Dr. King was told that the space was "chock full of apple trees." The Breaker Effect was not triggered.
