Special Containment Procedures: Several instances of SCP-xxxx are contained in the research wing of Site-19. These instances are to be kept in groups in cells equipped with reinforced steel doors. These cells are to be provided with artificial soil and flora found in Indonesian rainforests, and temperature is to be maintained at 35 degrees celsius, and humidity at 80%(units?) . These cells are to be kept under electronic observation by cameras positioned at five metre intervals on the ceiling of the cell by at least 2 officers(phrasing?). Family units or groups are not to be broken apart during containment. At five hour intervals, personnel are to insert a variety of fruit typical to the diet of Gorilla beringei graueri. During these insertions, the security officers(name?) are to maintain line of sight on each instance of SCP-xxxx through the cameras and provide warnings to the agents within the cell if any instance approaches within 5m of the agents. In this case, agents are to use modified cattle prod(better equipment?)and are to be instructed to shock any “incongruous landscape” by surveillance personnel. In case of attack by instances, personnel are to retreat from cell and seal doors. In case of instance(s) exiting cell, personnel aided by remote surveillance are to use tranquilisers to subdue instances. Due to SCP-xxxx’s nature, use of amnestics to prevent information breach regarding wild(ie uncontained) instances is unnecessary.

Description: SCP-xxxx are a species of Great Ape resembling Gorilla beringei graueri. However, instances of SCP-xxxx appear gaunt(seems hyperbolic. Even small gorillas aren’t gaunt) and smaller than nonanomalous gorillas(can i just swap to the informal name?). Instances also possess significantly reduced strength, being unable to significantly harm(vague?) adult humans and show far less aggression than expected. The primary anomalous property of SCP-xxxx instances is their ability to induce selective visual agnosia(terminology?) on lifeforms that they are able to perceive. Affected beings(?) display inability to recognise SCP-xxxx instances or distinguish them from nearby landscape. This effect holds even if instances continue to move while observed. However, affected beings may be directed to attack instances by other means, e.g. direct verbal commands to attack what they perceive as ordinary landscape. This effect is not permanent, breaking as soon as instances cease to perceive the affected. Individuals who are unable to see are not affected by instances, and sighted individuals will also often make remarks to being able to smell or hear wild animals when in the presence of instances. Aside from their cognito-(something) properties, instances are largely unremarkable. Despite having almost no natural predators, the species has become endangered due to damage to their habitat on Jakarta and accidental deaths due to development of the region.
