Object class: Euclid
Containment: SCP-5001 is to be kept in a standard 4 x 4 meter standard containment cell and is to be monitored at all times, if cell requires maintenance at least 3 D-Class personnel are required to maintain eye contact with the assistance of thermal vision googles due to SCP-5001 ability to suddenly turn invisible. Currently, it does not seem to eat food of any kind and it’s unknown how it obtains it’s energy.
SCP-5001 was recovered along side SCP-5001-1 through SCP-5001-8 in a old abandoned gravel mine, where it was discovered by a small village nearby who reported that their children had found the 8 anomalies, and reported that upon visual inspection, felt great distress and went to report it to the local officials, that would then get in contact with site-19 officials to contain the anomaly.
Description: SCP-5001 is a humanoid figure standing at 1.72 meters tall, and has a large puffy beard and bowler hat, as well as a large pair of googles which, after an autopsy, revealed that they are part of the body of SCP-5001. It is typically dressed in a suit of some sorts, but minor cosmetic changes like it being in a jacket sometimes have been known to occur. SCP-5001 is mostly harmless if not disturbed, but if provoked it has been know to pull weaponry such as a knife or a 1940s style French revolver. When it attacks, it will not even care if the target surrenders it will continue until termination, see SCP-5001-A for details on that said experiment.
If remained unprovoked, it will simply continue staring at any living creature but will do so under the guise of invisibility, but it has shown that it is most in favor of witnessing bouts of human conflict so much so that when it happens it will emerge from it invisibly to witness the event unfold, it is reported that when this does happen, those who see SCP-5001 will experience great distress, and either try to kill SCP-500, or run away. One D-Class did remain to observe SCP-5001 as a part of SCP-5001-B where it found out SCP-5001 docile nature. The speed at which they move is currently unavailable due to the fact that even with thermal cameras observing SCP-5001 24/7, we can still not record any movement in the [REDACTED] months that SCP-5001 has been contained at the site.
