SCPXXXX AKA: Mimic

Object Class: Danger Level

Containment Procedures: SCP XXXX resides in a 3m by 3m (10ft by 10ft) room at Security site 19, needs to be fed twice a month utilizing 1 Live Bovine of (cattle variety), requested to have a cobble stone floor, with Stone Brick Walls and Ceiling, it prefers Candlelight or Torchlight for lighting, standard bulbs burn the creature and makes it violent. Security Door monitored via Security Camera and security guards and limited access to only Male employees. It has also been found that if containment is even modeled like at the [Redacted] Estate it will meet minimum parameters.

Description: SCP XXXX is a genderless creature in the style of a steam chest or treasure chest shaped humanoid reminiscent of a Mimic from a popular board game, surface of humanoid looks to be similar to a wooden chest worn from age with several scratches of various lengths across the front of the humanoid, most notable one is a deep gouge with a broken blade after removal of the broken blade it was found to be 3 inches long. The false lock on the front of the humanoid was similar in texture to the wood however, instead of the wood style it looked like iron with showing age of rust. On the front of the chest in what appears to be solid gold with the [Redacted] Family Crest. It has some form of humanoid intelligence. Capable of basic speech and a telepathic link to others of its kind. Has a dimensional pocket in which it stores various treasures and gold coins from many regions. List of some notable finds below.

(Hypothesis: It and it’s brethren share the dimensional pocket that is why there are many different objects from around the world contained within. Would need further testing when the other’s are found)

Update 1: Becomes very agitated when anyone handles the treasure and will eat anyone who tries to take any of it away. Always make sure to do all research of items in front of Mimic.

Update 2: Found that when there are female personnel nearby it will start retreating into itself then completely shutdown when they are in the room.

Update 3: Found during the interview with Mimic that it will go through a period of dormancy to reawaken for a period of time. (Hypothesis: Believe the conceived date of SCP XXXX is consciousness date as per the chest. Actual date much older. Further research required)

Addendum #1: SCP XXXX also known as “Mimic” by researchers since it has the shape and attitude of a Mimic out of popular board games and video games most notably D&D has been found to be sentient and far older than it appears. However, asking it’s personal background has not given researchers a physical age but more of a mental age. Other information listed below. All information provided by the Mimic itself.
Interview for History as per Mimic:
* It was conceived sometime during the Dark Ages or Middle Ages with its use of old English and references to the (Redacted) Royalty, doesn’t know if it was magic or natural causes that brought it into the world.
* Found and tasked by the [Redacted] Royalty to guard their most important treasures, after 2 Centuries of eating intruders went dormant.
* Woke up sometime in the 18th century to new masters and guarded their treasure. Went dormant till [Redacted].
* Through some form of telepathic network found to be one of 5 other surviving of its kind.
* Considered the Eldest out of its lot.

Site – 19 Contacted O5 Council upon hearing of others.
* O5 Council Dispatched – Epsilon 6 for retrieval of 2 of the SCP’s, and Zeta- 9 for retrieval of another 2 SCP’s. Last one located in the ocean as per last known location by the SCP . Last box said VIA telepathic link, “It took a long time to hit bottom and it was originally in a warm area before moving.” MTF Gamma – 6 assigned special task of searching trade routes in the Bermuda Triangle, Caribbean, and the Mariana Trench specifically due to it's statement "It took a long time to hit bottom", once retrieved they will be designated as SCP XXXX – 1 to SCP XXXX -5 as found.

Anomaly Incident Report:
* Strange Occurrence cropped up in rural area of an old mansion. Where subject females to appear pregnant after encountering chest giving birth 2 hours after to nothing but a viscous slime.
* 2 Days Later
* MTF Epsilon – 6 “Village Idiots” - Deployed for investigation, containment, and cleanup of possible SCP.
* MTF Epsilon – 6 “Village Idiots” - Reported 2 Females Maids encountering a strange chest and became unconscious while cleaning up an mansion at the old (REDACTED) estate that their employers owned that has been handed down to them for several generations. After waking up by their coworkers they moved everything with assistance with other hands to the moving trucks to be sent off to their owners new estate in (REDACTED) City. Within an hour they noticed signs of pregnancy and went to (REDACTED) Hospital. Sonograms done with no results with doctors baffled of sudden signs of pregnancy. Within 2 hours they gave birth to viscous slime, took both women into custody for study, as well as viscous slime.
* O5 Council – Reassigns SCP recovery from MTF Epsilon 6 “Village Idiots” to MTF Alpha 4 “Pony Express”. Epsilon 6 is left for cleanup of situation at now designated as Alpha Site. MTF Psi -7 “Home Improvement” notified that they should be on standby and ready to mobilize, if MTF Epsilon 6 verifies and confirms other objects within the estate or the estate itself needing to be handled. Informed MTF Pi -1 “City Slickers” of possible SCP activity in (REDACTED) City if Alpha 4 fails to retrieve put on standby.
* 3 Days Later
* MTF Alpha 4 “Pony Express” – Reports moving trucks located at (REDACTED) now designated Beta Site
* MTF Alpha 4 “Pony Express” – Detained moving companies employees and retrieved item. Transported to Site-19 for study.
* O5 Council- Takes MTF Pi-1 “City Slickers” off standby upon confirmation from MTF Alpha 4.
* 5 Days Later
* MTF Epsilon 6 “Village Idiots” – Report nothing else at the (REDACTED) estate. Beginning cleanup.
* O5 Council – Takes MTF Psi -1 “Home Improvement” off standby upon confirmation from MTF Epsilon 6.
* 1 Day Later
* MTF Alpha 4 “Pony Express” – Confirms they are at Site – 19 and on site personnel have object contained.

Testing
- Testing SCP XXXX with Female Class D
  - Brought Female Class D into observation room.
  - Box sprouted legs and moved close to wall. Did nothing else.
  - Moved female into room and left alone.
  - Chest remained still.
  - Informed female to move closer to chest and to start talking to it.
  - When female class D got close the box sprung and gobbled her up.
  - Guards sent in to subdue SCP XXXX
  - No effect.
  - SCP XXXX spit female class D out on the floor unconscious 15 minutes later.
  - Brought to medical wing.
    - Test Results 1 : Female Class D became pregnant within two hours and birthed viscose liquid.
      - Liquid sent to testing.
    - Test Results 2 : Female Class D okay after medical exam.
- Test SCP XXXX with Male Class D
  - Moved male class D into observation room.
  - Chest did nothing.
  - Moved male class D into room and left alone.
  - Chest did nothing.
  - Informed male to move closer to chest and to start talking to it.
  - Chest responded.
  - Chest and class D had a 15 minute conversation before we stopped the test.
  - During Medical Exam Class D stated how the chest was a good natured creature and was having a good chat with it in regards to the Renaissance.
    - Test Results 1: Male Class D didn’t become pregnant within 2 hours.
    - Test Results 2: Male Class D deemed okay after medical exam.
      - Hypothesis: Consumes female to impregnate and spread.
      - Conclusion: Further Tested Needed.
Test Gold Retrevial
- Test SCP XXXX with Male Class D
  - Asked SCP XXXX to leave gold out in front of it like it used to do.
  - SCP XXXX complied under certain stipulation. We don’t touch anything and we clean and polish the treasure afterward.
  - Told a new male class D they can have as much gold as they want as long as they can get out of the room safely with it and it will be given to them at the end of their service.
  - Class D agreed with the terms.
  - Brought new class D into room and left door open.
  - Class D walked over carefully and started looking at the treasure. He called over asking if it can grab anything. We agreed.
  - Chest stayed still.
  - Class D started scooping gold into his pocket.
  - Chest ate Class D in a predatory fashion. Spitting blood and guts everywhere.
  - Guards immediately dispatched but it was too late.
  - Class D confirmed dead by consumption.
  - Chest expressed very loudly that it didn’t like thieves and kept talking about it for 15 minutes before settling down.
  - Cleaned room.
  - Brought another Class D in with the same stipulation. However, informed him to talk to the SCP XXXX first and request if he can kindly take some.
  - Class D talked to SCPXXXX and Class D walked away empty handed.
  - Class D informed researchers the only one the chest is going to give any treasure is to its owner and the right of owner ship hasn’t been transferred to anyone nearby.
  - Results – Cannot remove treasure by hand and without proper authorization.
    - Hypothesis – Maybe we can remove it by force with restraining the chest or by machine.
  - Conclusion: Further testing required.
  - Cleaned treasure as promised to chest. All done carefully in front of him.
  - Test with 2 Female Class D with same setup as in Test 3.
  - Results – Both female became pregnant and birthed viscous liquid.

After Initial Testing
- 1st Month (After Test 1 & 2) The two maids and the female Class D are getting what could be interpreted as going into heat. We haven’t identified why through medical exam. They just keep talking about SCP XXXX. Holding them for observation. Still no results on the Viscous Slime
- 2nd Month (After Test 3 & 4) All Females look to go into heat during the time of their period. The ones who were first exposed seemed to be getting agitated more so than last month. Still no results on the Viscous Slime
- 3rd Month one of the maids struck a doctor and had to be physically restrained. The other one is curled up into a ball mumbling to herself. The female class D is in the first group has been banging on her door yelling to be let out. The 2 female class D’s from test 4 are showing results from the first batch during their 2nd month. Still no results on the Viscous Slime
- 4th Month Same results on second group of female class D’s as shown on the first group of females. Decided to Let the 1st Class D into the room with the SCP XXXX.
  - Test: Released the first Female Class D in.
    - She ran over to SCP XXXX without us saying anything.
    - SCP XXXX gobbled her up.
    - Spit her back out after 15 min.
      - Result: She became pregnant as before and birthed the viscous slime.
        
        Hypothesis: Restrain the 2 maids as control group and allow the class D females to enter the room. The slime might be some form of aphrodisiac that might have to works it’s way out of the system. Further observation required.
- 9th Month All females in control group passed away due to unknown. The first female Class D is still alive after being exposed to the chest and given birth again.
  - Hypothesis-As long as there contact with SCP XXXX the females who have given birth will remain alive. Further testing needed.
    - Second group of class D’s still alive and it was decision of the ethics comity to allow both of them to interact with SCP XXXX. So they can remain alive and can be further studied to combat the symptoms.
  - 10th Month – All Female Class D's are still alive. Since symptoms are worse they have been restrained and sedated.
  - Conclusion: The slime acts as some sort of aphrodisiac for females. Also, that if they come in contact with chest again they will not die after 9 months. It also doesn’t work its way out of the system.

Note: A break in protocol happened today. A female researcher was forced into SCP XXXX detainment cell by a male guard. The male guard was trying to get SCP XXXX to release treasure for the girl. SCP XXXX first gobbled the female up then took on her form and seduced the guard draining him of his seed. After 15 min the female researcher was spit out and she gave birth to the viscous liquid 2 hours later except it was noted to have a green glow to it. Took for testing and observation. The male was found highly dehydrated and begging to stop. Both male and female in medical isolation for further observation.

Observation Report of Liquid

Container with liquid in it that is supposed to be use testing from SCP XXXX has mysteriously moved from one area to another.
Can’t open container.
IT BITE ME! When we tried opening the lid and it sprouted legs. Decided to bring it to SCP XXXX for questions.
Brought container to SCP XXXX it concluded it was his child and that it will eat anything till it is full grown.

Observation Report of Female

After some time she doesn't display any outward symptoms that the females class D's and maids showed.
Exclaimed she felt 10 years younger.
Has no recollection of anything that happened during the process. Except a brief out of body experience where she saw herself seducing the guard.
Doesn't remember what happened prior to the even either on how she got into the containment area.

Conclusion- Further Observation.

Conclusion – SCPXXXX consumes females in hopes of getting them pregnant as long as they aren’t trying to steal the treasure outright and it can only get a females pregnant if there is a male in the room for genetic code. SCP XXXX is a special breed of humanoid intelligence that cannot reproduce unless given the right material. Only Males are allowed near SCP XXXX. Container marked as SCP XXXX - A1 aka Mouse Trap.

SCP 343 interacted with SCP XXXX talking with it at length in regards to something in the past. Even asked for something.

  - SCP XXXX - That's true.

  - SCP XXXX - It was …. interesting but not many shiny objects. I was mostly used for cloths. I think. My memory is foggy.
  - SCP 343 - I guess that would have been during your inactive period. I forget you go into those. Well no matter. This place is interesting isn't it?
  - SCP XXXX - Can't say I know. I was just hauled here and they started poking around. They even touched some of my shiny. Had to bite the hand off of one and well the others weren't so fortunate. 1 WARNING that is all they get.

- Doctor [Redacted] - After much discussion and much research into the capability of SCP XXXX. We have decided to ask SCP XXXX if he can try and contain SCP-173 AKA Peanut. As many of us in the organization know that this is one of the most dangerous SCP's out there since you have to keep an eye on it at all times. SCP XXXX are you ready to proceed.
- SCP XXXX - I was ready 3 days ago. It's not like this is going to be any different from other states I have contained within me. You even told me the size.
- Doctor [Redacted] - Very well we will have SCP 173 brought in and we will leave the room.
- SCP XXXX - Whatever.
- Doctor [Redacted] - (Talking to a guard) Bring in the Class D's and SCP 173 after we leave. After SCP 173 is in the room remove the Class D's carefully.
- Guard - Right Away! (Doctor Leaves) (Talking into Radio) Begin Transport of SCP 173 and the Class D's. (Over Radio) Roger!

    - Doctor [Redacted] - What happened in that room with SCP 173? The room was destroyed and 173 was standing in the corner staring you down.

It kept doing that when I was focused on it. So when it annoyed me so I tried to eat it. Not very tasty so I put it back down. It then tried to eat me.
    - Doctor [Redacted] - Eat you?
    - SCP XXXX - Well maybe not eat but it did touch me. Then we had a nice discussion on whom will eat whom.
    - Doctor [Redacted] - So you fought it and one?
    - SCP XXXX - Not really fighting more like establishing territory.
    - Doctor [Redacted] - (Audible Gulp) Th.. Thank you for your time. We will make sure somebody polishes your treasure as we agreed.
    - SCP XXXX - What about the statue? (wheels on a hand truck squeaking)
    - Doctor [Redacted] - I think we got to reevaluate SCP XXXX. If what he said was true. He is far more dangerous than SCP 173.
