Special Containment Procedures: Site-██ has been constructed around SCP-XXXX. No personnel are permitted to enter SCP-XXXX's containment zone without permission from at least four 05 council members. Due to SCP-XXXX's cognitohazard, it's true location is to remain classified to those without 05 clearance to prevent those affected from finding it's containment location. a CHRV of at least 5.0 is required to enter SCP-XXXX, although this does not negate all of SCP-XXXX's anomalous effects. A 9 foot tall electric fence is placed on the perimeter of the containment area. Motion sensors & cameras are placed around Site-██, constantly monitoring the area around SCP-XXXX. Upon motion detection, ATF-953 "Open Eyes" is to confirm the presence of unauthorized personnel via either cameras on site, or live satellite feed. Upon confirmation, MTF-563 "Lost Shadow" is to be dispatched, and all unauthorized personnel will be detained, administered Class-B Amnestics, and released.

SCP-XXXX-1

Description: SCP-XXXX is a deciduous forest covering an area of 50'000 acres. Trees in SCP-XXXX (hereby referred to as SCP-XXXX-1) will slowly seep small amounts of blood constantly from varying locations. Blood from SCP-XXXX-1 contains DNA perfectly matching that of a human's; although all attempts to match the DNA to a specific individual have failed, it is believed that the blood does have a human origin.

SCP-XXXX has a cognitohazardous effect on any subjects that look at it, including in pictures. Subjects will believe they've seen a younger version of themselves running through the forest and will frantically chase deeper into the forest to trying to locate their younger self. Prolonged exposure to SCP-XXXX has been shown to cause varying degrees of acute bleeds in subjects. Being exposed to SCP-XXXX for 15 minutes or more has shown to cause random nose bleeds; 30 minutes causes subjects to experience internal bleeding. Subjects exposed for over 1 hour have begun mass hemorrhaging. If the subject manages to survive all previously listen symptoms, they will begin to [REDACTED] after 2 hours of exposure.

Addendum 1: 7/24/████: Dr. A█████ Test Log

Subject: D-5461
Procedure: Subject is given a radio to communicate with researchers. Subject will be instructed to walk into SCP-XXXX's containment area. Upon subject's expiration, a recovery group will be flown in via helicopter to recover the body.

Dr. A: D-5461, please enter the fenced area.
D-5461: Are walks in strange looking forests a normal occurrence for D-Class?
Dr. A: Just do as you're told, and quit asking questions. Have you entered the designated area?
D-5461: Yeah, yeah I have. It smells disgusting here, like something is rotting.
Dr. A: Good, start walking north.
D-5461: For how long?
Dr. A: You'll know when to stop.
[ 16 minutes passes ]
D-5461: What the hell was that?
Dr. A: What did you see?
D-5461: I swear I just saw a younger version of myself run behind a tree.
Dr. A: Can you give me an approximate age?
At this time D-5461 stops responding.
D-5461 is seen running through SCP-XXXX via satellite footage. D-5461 is occasionally heard mumbling over the microphone. Subject is repeating "So much blood" in a low mumbling voice over and over again. Still unresponsive.

Closing Statement: A recovery team was sent in to recovery D-5461. An autopsy is performed and reveals that most arteries had ruptured open.

Addendum 2: Research notes
Further testing has revealed the source of human DNA in SCP-XXXX-1 instances. After a test on 08/17/████ in which the subject was unable to be retrieved, video footage showed tree roots begin to emerge from the ground around the corpse, and envelop the body. Once the body is wrapped around thoroughly, it is pulled & swallowed into the soil below it. A new tree starts to grow from the exact location of this process. The initial consumption of the corpse takes about 7 hours, while it takes a week for the new SCP-XXXX-1 instance to grow to full form, at which time it will begin to secrete blood. Subjects that die while in SCP-XXXX are referred to SCP-XXXX-2 for the entirety of the consumption process. Samples of the blood created by the new SCP-XXXX-1 instance have proven to match with the DNA from SCP-XXXX-2.
