Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is not to be used outside of testing pre-approved by all researchers currently assigned to the object or at least 2 personnel of clearance level 4 or higher. It is to be contained within a standard, medium-size object containment unit.

When testing is conducted, the questions will be asked by a D-class in a soundproofed room, with a cassette tape recorder. After the test, the tape must be filtered for cognitohazards before playback to any sentient entity.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a larger-than-life statue of a Gray Squirrel, about 35 cm at its longest. It was discovered inside the home of H█████ W████, after a raid by the Foundation. Though it appears by all testing to be constructed of standard polyresin, so far no damage has been observed to affect it. When asked a direct question, provided the answer is known by between 1 and 25 people, worldwide, it will produce the answer. If between 26 and 50 people know the truth, it will provide the negation of the answer, and if more than 50 people know the answer, it will produce a cognitohazardous sound that erases the information from the memories of those who hear it, until exactly 25 people know the answer, at which point it is rendered non-anomalous. These sounds are all produced at a volume of approximately 60 dB. After Incident XXXX-A, any responses must be recorded only to cassette tape.

Process: A D-class was sent into the room containing the object, with a list of questions and a wireless microphone.
Question(s): None asked.
Result: Upon the closing of the door, the microphone ceased function, and the experiment was halted.
Notes: Find another way to record.

Test 2
Junior Researcher MacAngus, Dr. ████████ supervising.
Process: A D-class was sent in with a wireless microphone, a wired microphone, two cassette players set to record, and a foundation-developed self-enclosed text-to-speech device (specifically TTSFV6), and a copy of the foundation staff handbook, and told to read it aloud.
Question(s): None asked.
Result: Both microphones failed immediately. The text to speech device failed after seventeen words were spoken (about 30 seconds, given the time to reach the center of the room and sit down).
Notes: Cassette recorders did not fail, now standard use in SCP-XXXX testing.
