Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored on a platform in a standard safe containment cell. Access to the viewing of programming on SCP-XXXX is restricted to testing purposes only, and must be approved by head of SCP-XXXX containment, Dr. Scrot.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an unbranded box TV with a style similar to the one common in the 1960's. SCP-XXXX does not require access to satellite connection, or connection to a power source. SCP-XXXX has a channel knob and power button on the front-right, but the channel knob cannot be moved.
Once turned on via the power switch, SCP-XXXX will automatically redirect to a channel with the label 'Futcha News', with a description of 'The latest news, yesterday.' The channel features a generic news studio, with weather, sports, politics, and breaking news. The style of the studio, and the fashion style of the live staff change with the style of when the events occur in the future.
All attempts to find the channel are impossible, and it does not exist on any provider network or frequency besides the one of this TV. The channel has 4 staff, none of which can be found on any database. None of the staff discuss or even implicitly suggest that this is news in the future. The channel live staff consist of:
Two news anchors, one female and male, named Jessica Ausburn and William Fairnew, respectively.
A 'sports expert' named Jaxson Sportson
A weatherman named Gregory Snow
The main anomalous property of the channel is the news it reports on. Future sports events, weather phenomenon, winning lottery numbers, and events are reported, from any point between 1 day to 1 decade in advance from the event. How far in the future is unknown.
Some key events reported include:
9/11 - Reported 1992
The Fall of the Berlin Wall - Reported 1982
Stock Market Crash of 2008 - Reported 2007
US Entrance of Vietnam War - Reported 1951
SCP-682 XK Class Scenario - Reported ████
Many other events after the year 1960 have also been recorded, however, no events prior have every been mentioned.
Addendum XXXX-1: Discovery
SCP-XXXX was brought to The Foundation's attention on January 23rd, 19██, when lottery company Lotto Snotto reported a man (now referred to as Suspect) for winning the million dollar jackpot 4 consecutive times in a row. An investigation on the Suspect began, where The Foundation then located SCP-XXXX, and brought it in to containment. Suspect failed to respond to any methods of interrogation, and was given Class-A amnestic.
